Posts: 5 | Maybe even after the price drop for the consoles. Both will increase in sales. My uncle worked E3 the past 2 years and when I asked him about the xbox 360, whether I should buy it, he said that it would drop in price by october this year. If this is true than wouldn't it be possible that microsoft is trying to meet some sort of standard that the wii is setting in sales since the wii was still cheaper? i mean I didn't decide to wait till october, I picked my 360 up on friday. As for ps3 I saw the price drop and almost intrigued me into saving up more for it, but I just wanted a next gen console to badly, and I wanted bang for the buck. The xbox fit the picture for me, Decent price and icluded all the things I wanted. I agree with the whole holiday thing though, ps3 will definately hae some sales then, but so will the other systems. If the consoles now brought as much exitement as the predecessors, then maybe the sales would go up, I mean When the OG xbox came out it was like woah this is awesome.. But the same thing with ps2. Sure the gaming these days has improved on the next gen, but it still doesn't bring that certain smirk to my face that I got when I bought my first 2 consoles.
ps. Target owns at the holiday sales (from my family at least) lol
