Posts: 5,094 | Weeks 6-7 Sorry about the delay. I accidentally deleted my master Excel file and was forced to create a new one from scratch. Do not worry, all scores and standings had a back up file so everything is current. Last week we had a couple ties which irritated me but it is what it is. Here is how week 6 went down;
Malo Defeated NVR 13-10
Middy Tied Thor 12-12
Tobli Tied Hollyhood 9-9
Recon Defeated Chance 17-10
Jack Defeated Tek 16-9
2010 Defeated Matt 19-12
A lot of the low scoring had to do with a few key teams on the bye and a lot of non conference play. Week 7 turned out as followed;
Malo Defeated Jack 19-10
Middy Defeated NVR 15-12
Thor Defeated Tobli 12-9
Chance Defeated Hollyhood 12-10
Tek Defeated Matt 17-8
2010 Defeated Recon 12-11
Expect a new PDF soon but is it just me or will nobody shut the **** up about Tom Brady. FFS, give Alex Smith his receivers and he'll toss for 300 and 6 TD's
Brady has always been surrounded by a great offense and defense. Put him on the Raiders and see what he does especially with their O-Line. |

Posts: 5,094 | Actually the Colts have the best O-Line in the league. I think Manning has only been sacked 4 times this season which is best in the NFL
Here are the standings along with the PDF

Recon 4 - 3 (90)
Chance 4 - 3 (84)
Tobli 3 - 3 - 1 (109)

Jack 3 - 4 (88)
AFC
Malo 6 - 1 (106)
Middy 3 - 3 - 1 (91)

Posts: 5,094 | It's the luck of the draw NVR. If you look back all of your games have been close but with Baltimore losing and the Chargers dropping three straight it hurt you. You can still finish 11-5 if the teams you have selected get their **** together. I haven't decided on a playoff system yet but I'm leaning towards the top 4 get a bye while everyone else plays each other to make the playoffs. It's just an idea I have been tossing around. What do you guys think? |

Posts: 1,579 | Well another week in the NFL is gone and now the big game is Indy vs NE. It's a sad day when I gotta turn to Peyton to beat that group of scumbags. I've never seen a team just try to humiliate other teams like that. It's one thing to keep playing but to go for it on 4th and 1 when up 38-0 is just an insult to everyone.
Hopefully the bad blood brewing for the Pats will boil over and someone will chop block Brady's knee and sideline that POS. |

Posts: 5,094 | Yeah that was bull****. They did the same thing last week and I was bent. Billy Bell is the ultimate douche bag and unsporting head coach. Evey body knows that when the game is in the bag you take the ****ing knee. What would happen if Billy Bell tried to run up the score in an already blowout game and his precious Brady tears his ACL? Or Moss goes down with an MCL injury? Yeah you're not too ****ing smart then are you Mister Sweatshirt? He's damn near worse than Rick Majarus. I hope the Colts run them out and run the score up just to see what Belichick does. |

Posts: 5,094 | Ever since the Pats started putting up 40 per game everyone from Terry Bradshaw, Tom Jackson, Steve Young, & Jimmy Johnson have been stating that Brady is a better QB than Manning. Every sports channel I turn to all I hear it how great Brady is and how amazing the Patriots are. They are the greatest team ever! How these supposed “NFL experts” can become so blatantly biased and myopic is beyond me but the raw numbers speak volumes. Granted, Brady has won more Super Bowls but the argument isn’t over who has had the better TEAMS. The basis of this debate would be who the better Quarterback is. Obviously it is an INDIVIDUAL comparison.
Manning
CMP 3269 ATT 5092 YRDS 39164 CMP% 64.2 TDs 286 INT 142 Sack 175 Rate 94.7
Brady
CMP 2065 ATT 3293 YRDS 23689 CMP% 62.7 TDs 174 INT 80 Sack 189 Rate 91.8
As demonstrated by the numbers Manning wins hands down. But wait, Manning has two years over Brady!! Yes, this is true but the further you look into the numbers the worse off Brady appears to be. 2007 aside, who has rushed for over 1,000 yards on the Patriots? Since 2001, the Patriots first Super Bowl win, only Corey Dillon and Antowain Smith have rushed for over 1,000 yards (2001- 2004). What does this mean? Well it means the Pats couldn’t run the ball so by default they had to score on the pass which they did. The less effective the run game the more pass attempts by the Quarterback. Conversely, since 2000, the Colts have had 5 years with a 1,000 yard rusher (Edgerrin James 00, 03, 04, 05 - Addai 06). With a great run game the QB is not forced to air it out or be entirely dependent upon the pass as the Patriots have been. If Manning went without those great run years his numbers would be even higher which quite frankly, is hard to imagine. As far as the Pats gaudy offensive numbers go, anybody remember the 98 Vikings? 15-1? Yeah they lost the Falcons in the NFC championship game. I’m not saying they Pats will lose I am only saying that just because a team lights it up on offense it doesn’t necessarily translate into a Super Bowl win. |

Posts: 1,579 | My '05 Steelers were 15-1 too and they got beat by those damn Pats in the AFC championship.
Marino seems to be the only guy I've seen that isn't gushing all over Shady Brady & Bill Belicheat. He said he thought if they went to the playoffs he could see them losing in the first round. Dallas is the only REAL team they've played so far and Dallas was leading in the third quarter. So unbeatable? Hardly! |
