Try using GIMP:

GIMP - Downloads

That's a freeware programme similar to Photoshop. It doesn't have as many features but it should do the job.

is anyone running XP but able to achieve the vista look? If so what programs are you using that doesnt bog the system down and/or load your pc with spyware?

links plz thx ! also any way to get the vista side bar thing.

basically dont mind the look of vista but aint gonna get it with its crappy driver support and all round ***ness

I run Windows XP, but get the Vista look by using a program called WindowBlinds 5. I found good Vista skins for the WB5 on deviantart.com

As far as I know, it doesn't have spyware or malware.

hey thugz thats a nice twist on the default XP background. Where did you get it and what theme/software are u using to make your taskbar a lighter color.
