weighing in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces - Carys Ann Leslie was born today and is healthy and happy with Mum in the hospital.

She's the most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes upon.

CONGRATS man, I have yet to have my own yet but my brother has a 14 month old girl and she is beautiful, just started walking and it is a treasure to watch that's for sure!

Have fun staying up the next couple weeks!

Thats awesome rabbit... remember if you wake up with the baby you and her will share a special bond of her sleeping while her daddy holds her (and plays xbox) and your wife will LOVE you for not making her get up!

hold her as much as possible, the bond is unbreakable. i tell you what, you dont know what love is until you lay your eyes on your first child. best wishes, hope your wifey is healing up well.. be nice to her and let her sleep as much as you can (gets you bonus points and extra bonding time with baby!!) and generally enjoy it!
when you hit that 6 month mark, and baby sleeps through the whole night, you will think ur on vacation! mine did it on the day of her 6month.

also, just incase you havent gotten one, go get one of those nightvision cameras and microphones and install it on her crib. It will make you and mom feel alot better about leaving her in her room.. trust me! way better than just sound alone! They are not all that expencive either.

Hey Rabbitc,

Congrats to you and the wife on the new addition to your family. its a fantastic experience. My wife had our daughter 16 months ago, and it was a blast! Now she's at the age where she runs about the house, touches everything, says a few words etc. My wife told me the truth about my dead xbox 360. Appararntly my daughter pressed the power button on in the morning, and she didn't realise. Anyway,she returned home some 12 hours later and saw it was on and turned it off. Later the next day, I went to play and had 3 RROD. So there you go, the truth comes out in the end.

Kids are great, and give so much joy, and pain, its part of the deal.

Just try to be relaxed, happy and help your wife out. Cause if she gets tired/stressed, it flows through her and to the baby, and you all get stressed out. So relax and enjoy the shiftwork.

We were lucky, our girl started sleeping through all night at 3 months old. Only gets up if has a cold, or teething etc.

We just had the task of moving her from our room into hers only a few weeks ago. It was time, my wife found it the hardest to adjust. Everyone said, oh, its gonna be so hard to get her out. Funny thing was, the baby didn't give a toss, and slept right thru, and it was my wife who was up all night crying.

So there you go.
