alright i was just reading my game informer mag and i just read this thing on the doom movie and they said it is coming out on oct 21 that is going to be sweet plus they got the rock to play role.......awsome

Yeah, did you also read about how hollywood wanted to change the doom movie to be about mutants instead of hell on earth?

Now it's not even DOOM anymore! They claimed it was for some religious reason. BS. I won't be seeing this one. Now it's just another resident evil.

I'm really POed about it.

When I saw the trailer for this film straight away it reminded me of the first Resident Evil film.

I liked the whole fpv(first person veiw) they had in the trailer i thought that was cool. Not to go off topic but do you think that they are making way to many VG movies this fast?I mean theres Doom, Halo, Bloodrayne, splintercell i beleive and like 2 others.

guys the movie of doom follows what happens in the game doom 3. Don't worry they sticking to it very faithfully. Wait and see.

I dunno the mutant thing wont be the same as the portal to hell senario and im not sure about the whole first person view either. I will probly go see it but not opening night.

Ahh, Doom: The Movie. Time to make this thread intresting. *Rubs hands together*

So, as it was just said, it will be realesed to cinimas on October 21st. Now what makes this movie stand out from the rest is that you will watch the movie (Well some of it) Behind the gun as if you were in the game. Whether this feature will be good we are yet to see. This movie i know alot about and i would be blaabering on all day about it, but i won't (saves you getting bored).

Right, on to the trailer. The trailer gives us alot of hints about how the movie will be like. We have seen the first person view from behind the gun and we have saw only a couple of Demons (Mostly a one that looks like an Imp). Now iv'e got a link to the trailer for you if you havn't saw it before and i warn you, watch the whole trailer till the very end to see a 'Famous' Doom Demon.

Doom: The Movie Trailer

The cast consists of Karl Urban (Chronicles of Riddick, The Lord of the Rings), Dhobi Oparei, Ben Daniels, Rosamund Pike (Die Another Day) and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (The Rundown, Be Cool). Yes, the Rock is in it.

I'll be adding some attachments to this message with pictures from the movie, the Doom: The Movie logo, the movie poster and that famous demon i was talking about.

So it really is about 'mutants'... They should have kept true to the real Doom universe. I will not be seeing this movie.

I've just watched the trailer and I have to admit that it looks awsome. I really like the FPS-style camera, I like the way the demons look. I'm sure that it'll be a good action movie, if not a great one.

Does anyone know the UK release date for the film? I'm guessing March 2006, but hopefully it'll be earlier than that.

The movie looks cool. i won't see it because of Resident Evil 2 (did not like that movie at all)
