Posts: 94   |  Over Rated Movies No country for old men, The Departed, Training Day, Fight Club, Snatch, Transformers, 40 year old virgin(I really hate this one), Jaws, A.I., Schindlers List, Saving Private Ryan, Jurassic Park, Traffic, Oceans Eleven(etc...), X-Men 3 last Stand(I love xmen and xmen2, but this movie sucks!!!), King Kong, The lord of the rings(worst than the book, almost impossible), Almost Famous, shakespeare in love, michael clayton, silence of the lambs(hannibal, red dragon, etc), juno, chicago, requiem for a dream, kill bill 2(the first one was great but the second part...), etc. Some of this movies are not bad but not good either.

Posts: 5,150     | jesus you have bad taste in films, you named some really amazing ones there, although i'll agree with you on king kong, LOTR and kill bill but mate, schindlers list, the departed, training day etc...what are you thinking man? to add to this list i think star wars is massively overrated

I suppose only indie films aren't overrated? i'm gonna throw blair witch out there as overrated. it was ingenious how they created all the hype with fake websites, interviews, tv spots on sci -fi, but i don't htink the movie was all that. blair witch 2 was supa crap. |

Posts: 421 | Wow, are there any movies you do like? Definatey, Kill Bill and Kill Bill 2 for me. Quinton Tarantino in movies in general (except Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and From Dusk Til Dawn). Probably worse than his movies are every Tim Burton movie ever made. Superbad, Knocked Up, 40 Year Old Virgin and other comedies, but I just don't much like comedies. |

I wish I could get back the minute I used to look at it; then I wouldn't have seen atrocities such as calling The Godfather, Requiem for a Dream, Saving Private Ryan and others overrated. A number of the "overrated" movies mentioned here pushed the boundaries of cinema and either some of you don't see how or you just don't care. Either way, this thread is complete and utter -- FAIL |

Posts: n/a | I think its just a matter of taste really. Myself for one, hate gangster movies. Gangsters are poofs anyway. Anyone can point a pistol and pull the trigger. I can however see the contribution the Godfather trilogy made to shape future cinema. But its not for me. |
