| | | The only thing that has changed is everybody can now see what they were called on/banned for. Thats all. Plus the fact that everybody's warning level is being reset to zero. The procedures we have always used are still in place. | |

Posts: 1,144 | To me, this thread just looks like another mod hate thread, but without the funniness of some that have appeared in the past. Most members that criticise moderators act like complete helmets from time to time and are just bitter when they get caught doing so.

Posts: 192 | both sides have merritt. Most days the mods are pretty lenient. There are times though when the mods gang up on members they dont "like" themselves. Im sure a few "regular" members that werent liked by the mods are no longer here (read: permabanned) for alot less than what others get away with on a regular basis... yep, you shane.
the fact that shane is still on the site is a testament to the half of the arguement about leniency.
the fact that some regular posters are now permabanned or left are a testament to how they can zero in on a person they dont like and get rid of them for little or no reason.
bottom line is, i guess deep down shane, they have a mod crush on you! |

Posts: 1,579 | I personally think things around here need to reigned in as well. This forum needs to tightened up with all the language used by certain members. I'm fine with a little flaming and kidding in good fun but I'm sure a new member/user to the site wouldn't want to stay around very long when all they read is constant flaming and how much "pap" they might or might not get.
@Shane
The goal of a website is to bring in new members as well as keep existing members not just so you can get off being a forum troll. In almost a year at the site I've only read 1 single post from you that's been informative and helpful (the halo3 thread) the rest are just insults and how much you hate Halo and MS in general. |

Posts: 440 | I was banned once, I'll never forget that day. I was treated like the lowest of the low. I had to scrounge in the gutters for food and steal from other banned people. I could only explain it as some sort of purgatory...all the banned people just floating around in their spectral beings waiting for someone to call them back or set them free. *tear* I don't see how the mods can justify this!!!!! Damn you mods!!!!!

Posts: 952 | having been a mod and an administrator on a politics forum (you can imagine the fun on that) - my view is that members are typically very quick to shoot the mods but rarely take any personal responsibility for making the site a fun place to be.
Personally, I find the modding extremely forgiving considering some of the flaming that goes on here. Sure, I'll hold my hands up and say that I'm far from innocent in the 'ole flame situation - but there's a line which I don't cross and I certainly don't instigate a 1/4 of what some of the usual suspects around here do.
Having said that - some of it is good-hearted fun and certain people DO know when to back off if it's getting too real. Then there are others who are, in my mind, nothing more than two-faced, weasly punks that bash others in a vain attempt to make themselves look good.
C'est la vie - it's a web community and it's the same EVERYWHERE you go.
However, if people REALLY care about the membership improving and enhancing the quality of the experience - then they need to look no further than themselves.
When newbies come along - rather than keep them in the dark with retard inside jokes (which is beyond ***) - speak to them, invite them to SB - chat with them on MSN, XBL - bottom line - MAKE THEM FEEL WELCOME.
Do that - and you will see improvements to the site and the membership.
...or you can blame the mods like every other retard on the planet and continue chasing away decent would-be members by maintaining status quo and being a complete and utter jackass....and nothing will change.

Posts: 5,094 | I think the implementation of an infraction forum is quite beneficial as it adds the element of transparency. This should stifle or completely eliminate rampant speculation and rumors regarding why member 1 had been warned or banned. Members who have been at the receiving end of an infraction have always been given the opportunity to contest the accusations. With the exception of spammers, permanent bans are not entirely at the moderator’s discretion. Contrary to popular belief, prospective perm-bans are discussed by other site moderators and are usually granted under majority yea votes. However, I agree with Boost and maintain that this topic of discussion should not be for public display. PX360 has already taken steps to address the issue and are doing everything they can to confront this “problem” in the most balanced and objective manner. There are other avenues for progressive discussion rather than authoring a dedicated forum post even though it was a well thought out post Shane. +50 |

| | | Believe it or not I wasnt flaming, I wanted to know what the site thought of mods and such.
Seems most are happy, so I'll keep sthum. Obviously I wont take hollywoods or rabbits opinions into consideration as they are cleary handicapped, but on the whole I think most members are happy.
I was curious aka nosy and Im satisfied with the overall attitude, so thread served its purpose. Quote:

And bevo its great that you care so much and want to see a site that you joined(what about a week ago?) do so well.
But you gota get off that high horse and stop lecturing, Im pretty sure your unaware of who gets on with who, and when someone is messing or just being a dick, stop actling like your fooking mother thresea of the forums and stop licking mod ring, its vexing tbh.
You started lecturing people in my 'Mods on PX360' thread but I only created that thread to **** stir a little, just my way. I think scott and charles are sound and they both new on MSN before I even created the thread I was just messing about. So put the high horse in the stable, stop bursting balls and give us a break. | |

Posts: 1,729 | I haven't been banned nor warned about being banned, so I don't feel any of your guys pain...I think the mods on the site are great, as long as you don't piss them off/complain/or spam the threads, you won't have a problem with them now would you...
