Age of Empires III demo

Did anyone download it? I thought it was GREAT...same basic concepts as the old AoE games, which is a perfect deal for me. Anyhow, I was a little put off by the speed at which the game played. It was choppy as ****. I have a 1 Ghz computer, and the specs call for a 256 MHz...so it should have ran crazy fast, no? I don't understand if it's the game or my computer that was messing up.

Anyone else have a fast computer and experience choppiness with the demo?

Well, 1 Ghz aint fast, i have it too, and i couldnt play the game normal as well

Real cool demo. Let me know what you think of the game speed. Also, how can you tell me that with 4x the power in my computer that is necessary to run the game, it still plays slow? I don't understand that. I wish I knew something about computers, but I've always been a console gamer for the most part. The Wing Commander games, Age of Empires, and Medieval War games have always been some of my fav comp games, but I never experienced much slowdown with them.

the games looks really good, i havent downloaded the demo yet though, if its as fun as AoE2, that would be fantastic

My graphics card is too small, but all other concepts over-do the recommended system requirements.. But to me it looks like there were really only 3 different land units, a rifleman, cannon, and horse.. personally I like alot of differnet units, like AOE2.
