What Makes You A Hardcore Gamer?

There are tons of people who claim they are hardcore when it comes to gaming, but few have ever had the chance to tell us what makes them a hardcore gamer. Here is your chance to tell me just that!

Umm I wouldn't say I'm hardcore. I am a gamer for sure tho. I've been playing and around video games ever since I can remember. My earliest memory is stumbling through my house into my brothers room were his ass was playing Mike Tyson's Punch Out and I remember hitting the ground and just starring at it. No I wasn't drunk, I was a toddler.

With that and then never really being without a video games since then I think that would at least consider me a gamer. I don't get all crazy when I lose, I used to. But being the youngest and being humbled by my brothers on almost every occasion changed that. I still get ticked every now and then.

What makes me a hardcore gamer is first my passion for gaming and my willingness to be late for my best friends wedding because I was almost at the end of GT4. Not sure if that is hardcore or stupid as I was the best man…  It is my motivation to drive a stake in the heart of someone that I am destroying online in any sports game…especially boxing…real hardcore right?

I dunno..
My dad brought home a xbox when I was 4 years old and I've been playing video games ever since. I use to hurt this one dude that I played Halo 2 with if I lost or he killed me, but I think I might be calm now! If I want a game I will try everything In my power to get it.
As in begging and pleading to my dad or just get good grades and get a lot of games!
I even got some of my other friends that don't really like games into gaming!
The people that get REALLY mad over a game I just think are annoying. So I dunno what a hard core gamer is. OR I do know what it is but there are just may different kinds of hard core gamers.

what makes me hardcore? umm.. if u want to use that term, its prob because ive been gaming since INTELIVISION/COLECOVISION

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on systems, games, tv upgrades just for games, sound upgrades for games, building computer after computer for games. Yup, my wife just calls it insanity, but i call it "HARD CORE"

calling yourself Hardcore is so lame. Everybody is all like I'm hardcore because I drink Mountain Dew and eat Doritos while gaming and they say hardcore extreme right on the container. my mom told me I was hardcore. I like played something once and I'm hardcore! I did that thing that everybody else did and now I'm hardcore.

Hardcore.. no.. stupid.. yes... dude, if I was your friend and you told me you were late for the wedding cause you were playing GT4, I would seriously beat your ass down... I hope your joking, cause thats a ruthless thing to do.

I love playin vids, but I wouldn't say I was hardcore. But then again, who knows what the definition of "hardcore" is. I would assume hardcore gamers would be the pale fat kids that play 10+ hrs a day with no friends.. but this cannot be confirmed as these "hardcore" gamers never leave there house so who knows if they even exist..

If anyone reading this thread meets the above criteria for "hardcore gamer", then please grab a f'n skateboard and get yo pale ass outside..

what makes me a hardcore gamer,well il start off saying as im typing this i am playing NBA 2K10 going after a couple more achievements in the game.il also state that i havent gone to sleep in over 100 hours and have become legally insane according to the laws of the canadian government, i havent gone to school in six days because i have a list of games to build up my gamerscore such as condemned:criminal origins,lego batman,jericho,mini ninjas,infernal hells vengence, and so on and for the last reason why i am a hardcore gamer is that i probably have played every game released in the past two years and have preodered every game at my local EB games that are coming out in the next three months.

who man you're crazy, and i guess that i pretty hardcore although i'm not too sure exactly what hardcore means. education always comes first though man...not that i ever put my education before games lol. but you should

I think DROP's hardcoreness out shines you all tho. Drop that's hardcore man. I looked at your gamer tag and you have a lot of incomplete games man, like 230/1000 and 345/1000. Why not take the time to smash the game properly? Or are you just that hardcore and only wish to beat the game and then you're done with it?

I'm a hardcore achievement whore. I'll buy the worst games just to up my meaningless score. I cant help it though.
