Doom movie review

Well, I just got back from the Doom movie about an hour ago, and I must say it was about 70% what I expected from the game with about 30% deviation.

Some of the dialogue was cheap, but good for the most part.

Attempts of humor were pretty good.

The decision to use puppets instead of CGI monsters was a GREAT one.

The BFG was freakin awesome!

There were many "hidden references" that only people who have played through Doom3 would have understood.

The first person action near the end was unreal... I play a lot of first person shooters, but seeing this on the big screen almost gave me a little bit of motion sickness.

Final thoughts.... worth every penny of the 7 bucks I paid to see it!

Great review....I'll see it once it comes out on DVD. Movie tickets out here are $8.50, no movie is worth that 2 me...

I went to see it last night, i have to agree with Cable, the movie was what i expected, the dialogue was really really poor. The Rock was a good choice for the role, althought not the best actor ever.

Off topic: movie ticket prices are expensise, i paid $8.25 for my ticket and about 35 bucks total (incluiding food, and other stuffs)

Movies prices are out of control... I paid $14 for two tickets (I took my wife along) and $3.75 for large Coke. Crazy to do that I know, but until I can afford a screen like that at home, I probably will continue to pay it.

food and other stuff? Whatelse do they sell at theaters these days....clothes? I guess being a single dad I know how to save abit...I ussually take my son to movies during the day and can get something to eat and drink for the both of us for exactly 20 bucks...lol

i saw it last night i only paud $5 dollers the acting was very poor the action was ok and the first person stuff made me sick for some reason i give it a 8/10 cause i only paid 5 bucks for it.

I took my date to the movie: 8.25 * 2= 16.50
popcorn + drinks = 7.25 * 2 = 15
a box of chocolates =4.99
Total= 36.49 + tax
Its a rip off

ahhhh I was under the impression you spent this on yourself...but yeah chicks aren't cheap..lol...j/k. I guess since I can get to get in during matinee times and pick what my son and I eat at the concessions because I'm the DAD is a nice little feature to have while we visit the movies...lol

Ya i saw it to last night and agree with you guys and it was hard to be serious when there was someone named Carmack running around the place (id developer) i wish they did more with the first person also they focused on the story to much ill give it a 8 out of 10

Now i understand why the companies that produces the movies complains about people not going to see them, ITS BECUASE THEY RIP YOU OFF, but i recomend everybody to go see it (bring somebody with you, if you dont like the movie...hey at least its dark)
