Fellas, what is it with the Xbox gamer vs. the PS gamer?

I mean, I look at all Xbox boards, and everyone is complaining about all things Xbox. Halo 2 had a ****ty ending, and a ****ty single player experience. Jade Empire sucked, the combat was last gen. BOO, HOO, HOO Microsoft hasn't bought anyone in a while, Xbox is going bankrupt!!! OMG, did you see PDZ, it looked like a PS1 game!!!

I don't get it fellas. Check out the Playstation boards on IGN or Playstation.com. It seems like they celebrate their games, to the fullest extent.

I guess what I'm asking is: Do you fellas think Xbox gamers are harder on their system than PS gamers? Before anyone says it, I know it's a dumb thread, but I rarely make threads, and this one was just a necessity for me.

And some xbox posters are in reality just PS players complaining there *** off to make there own toy look better...

Try www.ps3forums.com, and you will notice a lot of "complainers" in the x360 section, who are just PS "fans" ( you can spot them a mile away by reading there old posts, or just looking at there icon badges below there avatar ).

"Microsoft hasn't bought anyone in a while, Xbox is going bankrupt!!! OMG, did you see PDZ, it looked like a PS1 game!!! "

Stuff like that is typical "other side" complaining.

Plus we want our games to be better and if the Developers can see the issues we had with their games then they can sort them out more easily. Were-as PS fans tend to make any franchise on their system be the best and most hyped up even when titles like Killzone bomb but its sequel is still receiving hype; they are just afraid to be different.

I don't know. You could always start some nice positive threads and see if it starts a trend?

Out of all systems, the Xbox has the most PC gamers (or at least, highest %). If your a PC gamer, you expect more at every turn. If you don't understand that, your not a PC gamer.

Why do playstation fans keep quite? There are MANY more fan boys (and girls), that are on the playstation. Their blind to everything wrong, and don't base anything to fact.

There's an intelligent reply...thanks G4everX. Makes sense to me, PC gamers seem to get games that look and play the best.

As for the guy who asked why I don't try making a positive thread...understand your point bud, but I'm a big Xbox fan, and you'll almost never see me complaining about an Xbox product, because to me it is vastly superior to what Sony's got. I'm extremely happy with what Microsoft has given me, but I can't help but question why all the negativity from Microsoft's own gaming community...it was just something I wanted to explore.

I think the bigger problem is lack of personal identity. Their console is their identity. For a lot, a console has replaced a balanced life. They have no social contact outside of their gaming, and it becomes their entire focus. Quite simply, they take it to seriously. This is a pretty good definition of a fanboy.

Xbox=MS, MS= billion and billions, Halo 2 was the best game for xbox by far, and PDZ looks awsome, way better than the fake videos ony throws. So get you facts straight

How about no cursing on this fourms and you will be reported. Anyway PS gamers from me being one have always appriciated what they had, but have exaggereated. I don't care what people on the Xbox fourms say I will be happy with my PDZ and 360. One more thing don't try to start a war in your own thread. Keep the peace.

Thats good. I like debates, but I don't get too carried away anymore. I'm not Jocher, I think PS fans just tried to make do with what they could with the PS2. Just because there were no good graphics on the PS2, but they appriciated their games (FF series, Kingdom Hearts, Killzone, and Katamari). They learned to see pass the graphics, but now the PS3 has "better" graphics they have forgotten all of that. I was reading the PS3 fourms and see "OMG teh 360 is gonna kill us" or "300 reasons the PS3 will make Xbox 360 look like a Xbox 1.5". Honestly I think the best fanboys are the Nintendo guys. They never brag about their systems, but they appriciate the amount of work that goes into a Mario, Zelda, and Metroid game.
Here is what I think the best fans are of now:

1. Xbox 360 fans (us)
2. Nintendo fans
3. PS fans

I say this because the PS fan have lost sight of why they appriciate games. Now anything that has good graphics is what they call a killer app. Remeber this is just my opinion not everyone elses.

The PS hype will die down a lot when Sony reveals there console ( at leased with some REAL in-game graphics ). So much hype surrounding the PS3, and every kid who can't tell the difference between a CPU & a floppy drive is stating how big & powerful "there" system is. Its almost sickening ( and very aggravating when they crash interesting topics

)

There is one thing i know for 101% sure, that's that a lot of PS3 fanboys are going to be in for one hell of a cold shower when the PS3 in-game games are shown. By the way, good reply there, but I can't help to disagree. I think the PS hype will be through the roof right up until Sony actually launches their console. The Sony camp seems to make stunningly beautiful CGI movies, and it's getting into the heads of a lot of video gamers...just check your local PS forums. I think Microsoft has WAY more to offer, but that's not the point. THe young kids among us are going to go with what they see in commercials, and that's going to be the MGS CGI crap.

Your comment about gamers when they play their first PS3 games is TOTALLY true though. They are going to feel like cold water splashed them in the face, because they won't get what Sony says they will. That is Sony's track record, and that's enough to make me not want a PS3.
