The World Cup 2006

So, the world cup is fast approaching, just 9 days away in fact.

I for one can't wait. From the opening ceremony to the winners lifting the cup 30 days I plan on taking in as much as the action as possible. I will actually be watching the first days games in Bulgaria, but fly home before Day 2's matches, meaning I get to see England playing while home.

Who will you be hoping does well (apart from your own country)?
I personally am looking forward to seeing what The Ivory Coast can do, and of course watching the Masters Brazil putting on a show.

I can't wait either, should be a great tournament.

I'll be supporting England, but I hope they actually play to their full potential as alot of the time they end up playing really badly and lose to countries they really shouldn't (remember Northern Ireland?).

They played well against Hungary last night, hopefully they'll do good in the World Cup as well.

I love the World Cup, great atmosphere of football and gives players the chance to shine.
I really hope England get put out as soon as possible, hate them.
For the winning team, I know Brazil will win (how can't they!?!), but I would love to see Spain pick up the trophy, with a killer WC for Fernando Torres.

Oh, and I would like to see the Aussies get quite far.

I don't really follow football, so the only reason I would watch it, is if Scotland had qualified. As they haven't I doubt Ill watch any of it.

I'll be rooting for Portugal!!

I hope we can provide an upset like we did in Euro 2004, beating England in penalty kicks.

I haven't seen a game that good in ages; not for the weak of heart!
