Nintendo to showcase Revolution and Controller at Tokyo Game Show September 16-18

Website Spong.com claims to have the scoop on when we will at last see the elusive Revolution system in action as well as the mysterious controller.

They claim that Nintendo is assembling key media to attend this year’s show, due to take place between 16th – 18th September 2005. Iwata will speak at the show and is (according to Spong) going to make his presentation of current activities at Nintendo. He will outline current projects and will then - unveil the Revolution.

Supposedly, the Revolution presentation will include a detailed outline of the hardware and its controller and input mechanic, as well as illustrate exactly how it will work. It will go on to show games running on the system and how they make use of the technology.

They also claim that Mario 128 will be showcased at the TGS as well.

Take this for what it's worth but it DOES make sense as the TGS is one of the last major opportunities for Nintendo to make a big deal of it's system before year's end. And Nintendo HAVE said that they will showcase the Rev. and it's controller before the end of 2005.

I've heard that Nintendo are to reveal the Rev's controller this year, but seeing as this news is from Spong I'm sceptical.

I hope so, im interested to see what all the fuss is about the controller.

I doubt it will change me from buying my 360 though

I'm going to be picking up a Revolution anyway (I'm a Nintendo fan), so I'm really hoping we get to see more on it at the above event. If I wasn't a fan, at this moment in time I'd have little interest in the Revolution simply because nothing is really known about it.

I'm really concerned that we're going to be let down by the actual Revo controller.

I mean, we're expecting so much, what if it's not all that it's cracked up to be?

I totally agree, it's just getting monotonous without any info. Just think if they announced Pikmin 3 Dawn

I'm not a fan of Pikmin (or RTSs in general for that matter) but I can't f-ing wait for Smash Bros. Online (which I believe Nintendo said would be a launch title)!!!!

there are many rumors around the web about controllers, im not saying anything until Nintendo unveils the official controller. Lets hope they come up with something good, i dont want Nintendo in 3rd place again

Anything would be worthwhile as this shroud of secrecy is now pointless and alienating fans.

Regardless of your party line (Sony, M$, Nint. or PC), I think the whole gaming community is interested in seeing the controller for the Revolution. Just how are they taking it to the next level? That is something to get excited about (hopefully).
