Posts: 828 | Just to join in here, I do enjoy playing Mario titles here and there and I'm 31!
I want to play Mario Galaxy, 9.7 on IGN. Why, cause its a great game, and as Malo said in a earlier podcast, "I'll play a game if its good on any system, cause thats what us gamers do". I agree totally, I am not going to discount a game cause its on another system. I will check them out.
Somtimes I dont feel like playing a war game, or a racing game, I may like to enjoy a story or a long game like Zelda. But, I love my 360 too and will always be my no.1 system

Posts: 1,579 | Mario hasn't been relevant since Super Mario World for SNES, since that time he's been whored out to every Nintendo game ever. Nintendo becomes more and more out of touch with "real" gamers wants and needs with every console they produce. That's the reason they had to shift focus to kids and grandparents. |

But either way, its selling like mad, maybe this will cause the Big N to start re-introducing those big titles again now that they have a whopper install base?

They are not even a blip on the NPD radar outside Asia. I'll wait and see if the Wii gets a library of quality games, but you couldn't pay me to play a JRPG. If Wii can prove its a viable console, and not a gimmick, I'll pull the trigger. | 1. Not all JRPG's have turn based combat. It's not really a bad thing. It makes it possible to have more intense attacks, and a strategic approach.
2. Cartoony characters? What? Have you only seen blue dragon or something?
(wich was anime not cartoon. Not that people here would understand the difference)
Not that cartoony character magically reduces the quality or the difficulty of games. Just look at Zack & Wiki.
3. I have played Oblivion on my pc. It is a huge world filled with a million copies of the few unique elements in the game. Like the fact that it only has 2-3 unique dungeons. Less than 5 voice actors. Virtually no rpg elements (as i said dumbed down for the casuals). lvl balancing wich makes lvling pointless.
Not to mention that all the gates are the same.
4. Alot of people outside Japan can stand those games. Just look at the PS2 (otherwise known as JRPG heaven). When someone asks if they should buy one the most important question to ask them is usually if they like JRPG's.
5. Maybe it's not a blimp on the NDP radar, but that is a bad thing. That only shooters sell in bulk worldwide makes devs more afraid of taking risks. Wich
is why almost everyone are making shooters. So dull. 360 Fans are probably overjoyed about this.

Why are you here again? | 1. Well that, Sotc,J&D,JRPG's etc. My favourite games of all time are FFIX & Grandia.
2. I was in a hurry because my sister wanted the pc.
3. Well i was trying to choose a primary console. Thanks for making the decision that much easier. |

I did say that I and hold firm this belief. I have already stated unequivocally that I will be buying a PS3 when God of War is released sometime in 2011. The Wii just doesn't have that system selling game such as God of War or a Metal Gear Solid that would persuade me to purchase it. I loved Super Smash Brothers, Zelda and Mario Kart although their quality is not at a high enough standard for me to justify a purchase. If I could scoop up a Wii for $75 I would probably pick one up but right now I cannot find one valid reason as to why I should drop over a bill on the system plus games. I am already falling behind on my 360 game purchases as it is. |

I still have played maybe 2 hours of Orange Box.
I still have to complete PGR4, about 80% mark.
I still have to complete COD4, about 40% mark.
I still have to complete Halo 3, about 60% mark.
I still need to go back and get last 2 achievements on Bioshock as well.
Plus I still have not played Crackdown which is still shrinkwrapped, and also Need for Speed Most Wanted.
Plus the hordes of Demos I still need to try..
The arcade games too...
Theres just no time.
I cant beleive it, for many years as a Nintendo owner I prayed to be swamped by games. It never happened. Now, on my 360, I have sooo many games to play, and all excellent games as well, not crappy ones. I am actually saying for once, I just have too much to deal with on my 360!
Gotta love that!

I just got it used, and it can be pretty addicting, and some of it is even challenging. My 3 year old really likes the sports, but you already have that if you got the system.
I rented the MOH Heroes, can't say i am a fan of FPS on the wii, especially after playing FPS games on the 360. There is an arcade mode for it though that is kind of fun, where you just shoot guys as they run across the screen.
And sportscrazed, that is how i feel when i play another system...i could be getting gamer points (do they actually do anything?). It's also why i play all the games on the hardest settings, which usually just frustrates me and i don't want to play the game anymore.
oh yeah, i think i already mention the rayman game early on in this thread, so sorry if i am repeating here...but it's fun and everyone should know.
