Another blow for the PS3

I am gonna wait to get the ps3 till like next christmas, if i even want to get one. They are way too heavy though.

By next Xmas, I'd be saying the 360 has finished its 3rd year and into its 4th year. I'd be more excited for whats coming out from MS next, rather than buying a PS3 thats 3 years old with a supposed 7 years to go!

Restaurant A/Microsoft comes out with fresh new food Weekly and has many items unique to their establishment, they have a menu of Hundreds of Great Dishes as well as lead the pack with new releases which 99% of the time happen as scheduled.

Restaurant B/Sony serves a limited variety and only comes out with new dishes every several weeks to a month, and what they serve is really only highly appealing to a limited audience.

Some people may remain loyal to Restaurant B because hey have always eaten there and humans are by nature creatures of habit but of course if you have enough undercooked appetizer and your main courses arrive underseasoned you will decide to eat at Microsoft instead where you have a vast menu of good food and know for a fact that you will have new stuff served weekly.

Never thought anyone would relate video games to food, but I guess Im not suprised you are the first one to do it. lol

I think i'll wait a while before i get a ps3 i've never been a fanboy for either one but i will definitely keep hold my 360, hell i might even upgrade to an elite just for the bigger HDD and the HDMI port and cable.

The newest issue of Game Informer reports that Metal Gear Solid 4 also got pushed back to late forth quarter of 2008. Considering these are 2 of biggest Sony franchises I'd expect sales to continue to struggle. I know I won't consider getting one until MGS4.

Indeed. The only time PS3 will ever cross my mind is when GT5 and MGS4 are readily available!

Why are we still having this conversation? We all know 2007 has been a lost cause for Sony and 2008 shows promise but "promise" doesn't always translate into success. Q3 of '08 is when we will have a better idea of where Sony will stand if it even matters at that particular juncture. At least then we will be able to have confirmation of release dates on all the previously stated Sony exclusives. For all we know MGS 4: Delay of the Patriots could be delayed until Q1 09. Granted, this is merely conjecture (as is the majority of posts) but if the trend continues what will be done in '08 will in all probability end up playing out as a day late and a dollar short.

I just read soul calibur 4 is coming out for the ps3. i must buy one now. those games rock. at least 3 did. never played 2. just kidding, i wouldn't buy a console for 1 game. that's dumb. but a blu ray and 1 game...hmmmm. that is possible.

Only way I'd get a PS3 is from a raffle and I got picked. Probably sell it and buy myself 7k MS points and some games. None of the exclusive games are very intreguing (I messed up) to me.
