they've won the austrailian market already with the mighty boomerang controller. PLus i would only use the controller to hit small boys playing soccer in the street as it will hit them and come right back to me. The hours of fun you can have with that controller. You can play hit the drunk on the head, or knock over an old lady. Endless hours of novelties.

that'd be hilarious! i'd ride down in front of myneighbors house on a PS3...ehy you know what? i was at EB Games a couple days ago. The guy favored 360 over PS3 kuz PS3 is gonna be $700 or so and also he said he wouldn't buy PS3 unless it walked his dog...he didnt even know what the nintendo revolution was.

Grindstone: I'm well aware that this site is dedicated to the 360. I, myself am a fan of it (or what i've seen) which is why i'm here. I also think it stands a good chance. This is a valid discussion. However there are people who say things like; "I hope Sony burns in hell" (or something to that extent). With remarks like that, your reputation could rapidly sink. These people need to question themselves. Sony rejuvenated the market, they opened new horizons and made gaming a trendy hobby. They aren't Satan. I'd be willing to say without them, a quarter of your userbase wouldn't be here. But maybe i'm just making drastic assumptions.

Ok Bionic you say they juvenated the market, fine there will be a good competiton between the companies (which is good for us, prices will go down) my point is, i dont care i i have to spend 500 for something well design, stylish, with a good game lineup. But what Sony does, they give you a 2nd hand machine, example PS2 i payed 299 bucks when it came ot back in 2000, guess what happened the dvd reader messed up, it overheated, the charger's cable melted. But, that didnt happened with the ps1, i still have it and it works just fine, and let me tell you that little thing have been throu hell with me. So im not a fanboy, just a person who writes what i see

If you think about it. It will be close between all companies. Sony sitll has a huge fanbase, MS has more support from the mainstram crouds (MTV Special), and Nintendo is attracting non gamers with all the cloudy details on the Rev. Sony still has a long shot. The PS3 will suffer, but not as much as we want it too.

You raise a good point. I agree, the pricing, or at least, the rumours of pricing have been quite depressing to say the least.

That's not to say they give you a second hand machine now. Let's be honest, if that was the case they'd be sued by now. Hard luck with your PS2. Honestly, it isn't the most well designed console in the world, but it's not THAT bad either. I've had mine for years and haven't had a single problem with it.

As for the charger cable melting, and the DVD reader messing up. You think that doesn't happen with Xbox's here and there. It does.

Okay, your PSone works. Lucky guy. Maybe I had the wrong perception of you. But like you said, I write what I see. And what I saw was blatant fanboyism. Maybe I was wrong, but you didn't back up your post at the time. Don't hate the company, hate the faulty model. Your warranty should have covered the damages.
