Convince me to buy a wii...

ok with a recent sale i'm in some extra money. I bought the ps3 last month. I have a little extra and want to complete the trio. please someone convince me to buy a wii...or likewise!

It's hard for me to talk someone else into buying a console that I have owned since launch but rarely play; if you have a girlfriend she will love it, that much I can say!

For casual games it is easily the best console around, Mario Kart, Wii Fit, Mario Party, etc., there is nothing like it on any other platform!

Oh and Resident Evil 4 on the Wii is one of the single best video games I have ever laid my hands-on.......

it has some good games. rent em before you buy though, cause there are a whole lot.

it can get expensive if you plan on getting all 4 contorllers with 4 nun chucks. but the old gamecube controllers work with it too on some games.

i have had some big fun with a few games on there. sports is a hoot and a holler, but recently soul calibur is been fun. i had dragon quest, but not to enthralled with that one. but super swing golf is fun if you like that stuff. it has it's moments. but like endwar said, i don't play it all that much.

that new conduit game looks like it could be good.

I bought a Wii at launch, sold it 6 months later, then the wife repurchased one a further 6 months later, and now it sits in the cupboard.
But in terms of games, I own 1, Mario Galaxy, cause its decent.

But the other game is wii sport.

The funny thing is though wii sports gets the crowd together and people love it. So if your a crowd pleaser, the wii is the way to go.

I'd wait till next week and see what E3 has to offer on the Big Ns front, so you can decide. Or maybe the new update to the 360 may cause you to purchase a new one instead, so I'd hang out for a week.

that is what i am thinkin on the ps3. still can't bring myself to buy one, but i want the blu ray. i need technology!

I love my Wii, I still don't play it more than the 360 but it has some really good casual games for girls!

My take as a non-Wii owner...buy it as a auxilary console, but at least one of the 2 good consoles should be your platform of choice.

I ahve all 3 consoles and the wii is played the less out of all 3. Only games I have on it are bowling games mainly.

The Wii is a joke. From it's barren online world to it's subpar graphics, the Wii is by far the most obsolete piece of garbage I have ever seen. Epic fail Nintendo.

it's not a fail. it's just not for you. you have to understand the market for the Wii and who their intended audience was/is. the 360 and PS3 have virtually the same market of video gamers. the Wii wanted to go for everyone that wasn't a hardcore gamer. they wanted to go after kids, their parents, and people who don't play video games. it's about the gameplay. it's about interacting with a group of people in the room through this box, almost like an interactive board game. it's a party machine and not for people who play COD4 and GOW every day. so most people on this site will not like this system because we are not the intended market for it. but the fact that the console has sold as many as they have proves that they were able to go after all the non-gamers and casual gamers out there.

hit it on the head bevo. i can see why the wii is non appealing to serious gamers but i think theres genius in that system just like every other system.
