Default My impressions

I just thought I'd post my impressions on the three consoles and what console is suited for what kind of person. Feel free to digress or disagree.

The Wii:
Sure. The Wii is a nice console. It looks cool. But aside from the most famous brand-names known, is it a good console? Sure. But it isn't for everyone. I own a Wii. Although, I must say, it is the worst buy I have ever made. You must consider the selection of games and what you'll play. Unfortunately, I bought the Wii near launch, only to find out later no one would release any bloody* games on it. The Wii is a family console, something that almost everyone can enjoy. But like the Playstation 3, it lacks the community and online interactions such like the 360 has obviously dominated in. I think that maybe, just maybe, next time Nintendo will be slightly more othodox.
Who, and Why:
The Wii is the simplest console, with few RROD type errors reported.
It also accepts SD Memory Cards, making it easy to keep things on one memory card. Downsides are as such: Unlike it's competetors, it doesn't support Movies or Music, a general loss to both the PS3 and 360.
Simply put, this console is good for casual gamers, and 'older' gamers wishing for a simple selections of games, and even one exersizing game.

The Playstation 3:
The Playstation 3 is winning in some aspects, and losing in some. With fewer 'Death' type errors then the 360, it really helps itself. Unfortunately, it has a big price tag, which is a turn off to most. Unlike the Wii, the PS3 trys to stand up to XBLG, although, XBLG is a big brick wall, and most will find it hard to break down, even with explosives live Metal Gear Online/Solid 4.
It keeps it's controller in general. No big changes to that. With titles like LittleBigWorld approaching, I feel that with a little reworking, the Playstation 3 can live up to expectations.

Who and Why:
This console was made for devotees to Sony. In my personal opinion, the PS3 has not done well, but the race is not over! The Playstation 3 has a built in BluRay player, and titles like Metal Gear Solid who seem devoted to staying with the PS3. The PS3 is for Serious gamers, even though with inter-console titles, the 360 versions tend to recieve better reviews.

XBox 360:
The 360, unlike it's fanboys seem to think, has some huge downfalls to the
PS3, the biggest being RROD and the cancellation of HD-DVD. The PS3 has Blu Ray fans down there. The XBox makes a lot of noise, and no longer has an exclusive DVD type. But don't fret, XBox Live! is here to save the day!
With some big arcade titles like Pac Man, Braid, and Geometry wars, as well as some wonderful First Person and Third Person Games, the XBox 360's online play really takes the cake. Even though the Online play for the PS3 is free, XBox Live! adds another level of Online 'Play'. With an incredible community feeling, the XBox 360 is just a wonderful console.

Who, and Why:
Hardcore gamers, and Online Lovers, rejoice, the XBox 360 is definitely your next console. Unfortunately, I usually try to look at the bright side, but the Memory on the 360 is very confusing. Make sure you understand what you're getting, especially with a refurbished gamestop one.

All in all, each console has it's 'High Roads' and it's 'Low Roads', but before you make your next purchase, make sure you know what you want, and what you're getting.
