For $99 or at current exchange rates for uk £56 thats even cheaper than the DS, So it may not be up to par graphically with the 360 or ps3, who cares, it's the fact that it plays all the old nintendo titles right from the word go and has a fun way of playing games in it's controller, i say good luck to nintendo, if they can pull this off at that price then it might even be the second best selling console out of the next gen. I personally think it's real price will be aroung $199 not $99.

That cant be true, unless Nintendo really want to sell their really bad system for so cheap so people will buy it.

I dunno, I have my SNES and tried playing some of the old games and since they did not compare, I just turned it off. The one that really surprised me was I thought that Jet Moto 2 was such a cool graphical game for my PS1 that after playing on the XBox for a couple of years, when I came back to it, it looked so terrible. I had put it on the living room tv for my nephews that were 4 and 6 when they came over but they stopped playing it and always wanted to go into the family room to play XBox. So I gave the system to my cousin, with about 10 to 12 games. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Cheap price doesn't mean cheap product it means Nintendo know what a reasonable price is. (In aus the ps2 console at release was 3 times more expensive than a pack where you get an extra controller and three games all inculded) I sat congrats to Nintendo for bringing out a console for casual gamers for a casual gamers price

The revo will be like the trojan horse, they had no way to defect the troyan army (x360 & ps3) so they (nintendo) attacked them from the inside

I guess your right, after all if I purchased a pen for $50 then it would not be a cheap pen. It would still do a simple job of writing. So lets say a cheap price = dated, not at the front of the technology and limited life span. The price of a product is based on what is in it, the time that went into putting it together and the demand for it. If you were in the market for a new pc and looked at different prices ranges within the same pc maker, you would see how the lower pc are limited compared to the more expensive ones. So what I am saying is that if I am going to spend my time playing games, I want to enjoy and be wowed by the experience. When I see that the Rev is going for $99 while the XBox360 is going for $400 and there is talk that the PS3 will go for even more, it would not be worth it for me to waste my money on a rev and who know how much money on the games and controllers, when I know that there are more powerful products out there which developers can use to make a game. Heck I just download an old demo of GTA2 which is topdown 2-D which I use to play all the time on the PS1 and compare it to GTA3:SA and I want the possibility of having a complex game instead of a simple one. The rev can not compare in over all potential for the developers compared to the XBox360 and that is what I want. It is suppose to be a next generation console and I would like it to last more than 2 years. Developers are always trying to push the edge of what they can bring to the gamers and the rev might allow them to go that far. It is just the way that I want to spend my money on technology, toys and gadgets. I have tried the cheap way many times with laptops, pc, pda, tvs and cell phones and always wasted my money. I spend more money now and get better use of what I buy, by going with a high priced item with more potential and life span. It would be like putting a 250 engine into a '69 GTO. I would rather have my mine with a 400 block engine.

I didnt quite understood the part about the engine, but high demand=high price but i think 150-200 is a fair market value for the revo

Good lord that is insane...but awesome. That makes me want to buy a revolution even more than b4(on top of the 360 of course). I hope that is true really.

Hey xpitbull, a 250 cubic inch engine would be the size of about 4.1 liter engine while a 400 cubic inch engine would be the size of about 6.5 liter engine. Beleive me you will notice the difference in acceleration and top end speeds.

Fuel consumption, they are gas hogs somewher around 7 or 8 miles less per gallon. But my yearly car taxes for my 2003 Galant is $500 compare to if I still had my '71 Pontiac, I would just pay $9.90. My sophomore year in college, I broke 3 transmissions and by the third one, dad and I could get the old one out and the new one in about 6 hours with no prior schooling or special eletronic tools. Try seeing how much it would cost on a newer car. The maintance cost just for a regular check up on my car cost me about $250 while when I use to do it maybe $50 for parts plus the satisfaction of doing the work myself. So over a years worth of taxes, gas and maintance my Pontiac would probably be cheaper. My only problem has to do with my clients, not too professional pulling up in a car with load mufflers.

I doubt it would be that cheap, but if it is - WOW!

How can you say no? People who are saying its too cheap - WHAT? How can something be too cheap, if you buy it for that price and decide you are not all that keen, that the quality is not what you were hoping for - SO WHAT - its only $99 and you can play all the Nintendo back catalo
