as much as i agree with you, the Revolution is gonna be more expensive, and i would love it if a game system would cost that little, though im guessing that the controllers would be more expensive

Nintendo have went on record to say that the Revolution is roughly on par with the other two. In that "you won't notice much of a difference, if any when comparing shots". However, there may be a difference in actual specs. Apparently they've found some new way to keep the graphical quality high for a fraction of the cost. If this is the cost, I just hope they've patented the idea.

Regardless, I think this is far too cheap. For what you're getting, this would be lunacy. They're be making quite a loss. The controller alone is probably worth £56. Or something near that.

Don't get your hopes up. Bear in mind, if this was the case. A brand new home console would be cheaper than an oldish handheld. I just can't see that happening. And no "insider" blog is going to change my mind.

Nintendo are awfully secretative about everything. No one sensed Twilight Princess coming, and very few saw the controller concept coming. They wouldn't let something like this slip so easily. However, if i'm wrong i'll happily stand corrected.

Bionic it was just a rumor, the price tag is way low. They wont me making any profit at all, and i dont think nintendo will come up with something just to lose money

Why are you posting pointless statements?
1. where did you get $4 to make, Nintendo is a big well respected company capable of bringing to thre market an affordable, fair market value console designed for gamers and non gamers as well. Its not going to be $99, it is going to be around 200-250 dlls.
2. Why wouldnt i buy it upon release? I'd been expencting the revo for a long time, as well as the xbox 360.

They will not release a $99 console. There is something to be said about price points. If they are too far beneath M$ an $ony everyone will view their product as cheap or "kiddie". I suspect a price of $199-$249. They will be cheaper, just not that much cheaper. It is a perceived value thing.

$99 for a next-gen console is dreamy, too dreamy. I would say that Nintendo could sell the console for that price, but only the console- no controller nor any other options what-so-ever. But, this would piss off a lot of people. It just is not fathomable that a console, such as the Revolution, would retail for $99.

I'd say this was just a ploy to increase interest in the Revolution. This is just too farfetched for me to accept. Reminds me about the $299 price for the PS3. Unbelievable.

I wonder if the revolution comes with some add ons, i know they;ll price them around 30 buks, whick is not bad. About the 299 for the ps3, that would be a fair market value without a hdd, but knowing sony, and their inflationary mind anything is possible

After reading the rumored specs, $99 is a feasible price after subsidizing maybe $50 or so.
