Wow, that would put them in a whole different league than MS and Sony!

Posts: 0 | That would be awesome on our part, but i'm not sure on Nintendo's side. It would be kind of odd to have a $100 console. Nintendo would have to lose some money. It should at least be $200. |

Posts: 341 | At that price, I would not buy it. Not that I like to send money but if I am getting a system for 3 to 5 years I would want it to be awsome and if you are selling your high end console for $100 while others are selling theirs for $300 to $500, it would make me wonder how cutting edge are the parts that you are using. Cheap price = cheap product. |

At that price there couldn't be a better deal being less then the cost of 2 Xbox 360 games! It's probably unlikely to happen though. |

Cheap price = cheap product. | I disagree. The price point might be to thier advantage. Not everyone wants to spend $400 on video games. A $99 this gen would be ingenious, and I trust Nintendo to make a quality product.

Because you want to play the best quality games you can which you will not be able to do in a limited console. Technology cost money, the better the technology the more it cost. I often hear people complain that they do not PC gaming because they have to upgrade their video cards to keep up with frame rate of games. They send $170 to go from 32mb to 64mb cards, then a year later $225 to go from 64mb to 128mb cards and the next year another $270 to go to 256mb and so on when they could have just gone from a 32 to 256 for $450 and in the long run save money. As developers start to push the games, Nintendo could see themselves unable to perform in 2+ years instead of 4+ years and have to sell another console all the while their gamers have to pay the price of being limited. For example, about 4+ years ago I was looking at video capturing from the TV. I found a pinnacle system that uses a pci slot that cost me $300. Dazzle and some other companies had products for $80 to $120. I still have that pinnacle system and actually use it just about everyday to record tv shows and movies from my Tivo system and works like a charm. Had I gotten the Dazzle system, chances are that I would have replaced it because it is a cheap limited product or at least that is what the user reviews have said about and would have probably gotten a new system or not have been capturing shows. My cousin got me hooked on Third Watch once the seriers ended. Thank god for A&E reruns.

Just my 2 cents. | I am buying an Xbox 360, because it looks like an awesome game console with great exclusive games, a sick controller and just has a great overall appeal.
But graphics mean next to nothing to me when it comes to Nintendo, because, as we all know, graphics do not make the games. I think Nintendo is clearly not even trying to compete with Sony and MS with system power and graphical prowess.
If you're going to buy a Revolution, you have to realize what you're going to get: innovative, revolutionary games. Don't expect stunning graphics, and don't expect many popular third-party titles. Expect a revolutionary gaming experience. For $99? Hell yes, the Revolution is looking extremely appealing right now.
I don't need the system power of the 360 for the Revolution, because it's not what I expect from Nintendo. All I want from them is an awesome gaming experience featuring all my favorite Nintedo Exclusives.
And all you fanboys, you should be thanking Nintnedo. They're taking a huge risk and revolutionizing video games as we know them. Next-gen I think it's safe to assume that we will see all three companies making a revolution-type controller. They're advancing the industry and helping us, consumers, by putting out a third. cheap option to the overpriced consoles of MS and Sony.
I am most definitely buying a Revolution, and, if it's $99, you, as a gamer, would be a fool not to.

Posts: 806 | An xbox 360 and a revolution would pretty much suit all your gaming needs, in my opinion. I can't think of any other reason to go about it. Xbox 360 for the next generation quality games and online communities, and the rev for the cool new toys. I'd have to say I'd be pretty content with the 360/rev combination. It feels like a complete gaming solution to me. |

Posts: 341 | ace2cloud dont get your feathers ruffled up. As you get older you will learn that if you have low expectations then you will not ever enjoy all that is possible. No graphics do not make a game but a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. So knock yourself out with your revelotion.
As for the controler, only time will tell. What you try and say as fact I know is just your simple opinion. Here is one for you. 3 Monkeys are in a tree. The 1st one jumps off crashes on the ground and dies, the 2nd monkey jumps and also dies. The 3rd monkey looks around and then jumps and dies too. Now why did the 3rd monkey jump ? Peer pressure. MS and Sony do not need to follow Nintendo to its death.
As for fanboy, sorry to say that I am too much of a noob to understand. I think that I have an idea of what it may refer to and if it is a shot, does not really matter its just text on a screen and do you expect. Your in an XBox360 forum. Its like someone going to a NY Yankees vs Red Sox game at Yankee stadium with a shirt that says Hey Yankees fans, yank this ! and expect people there not to be cheering for the Yankees. My cousin did it last season almost got into 3 or 4 fights but he is a dumba$$. He had to leave early becuase to top it off the Red Sox were winning by 4 or 5 runs. |
