Default Do you feel cheated?

Do you feel cheated by this gen?

Consider this: the Xbox and GC came out in Nov. of 2001. It's life is going to end Spring '06. So that's about 4 and a half years out of the Xbox and Gamecube.

Do you, as a gamer and a consumer, feel that the life of these consoles were cut short?

So basically, what I'm asking is were you satisfied with this generation of gaming?

Thats a very good question, yes, but at the same time no, looking back on it, the xbox generation flew by, but waiting for the next microsoft console, it felt like it would never come

I don't think we're being cheated per say... In the Genesis and SNES generation, technology wasn't advancing quite as fast as it is now.

Nope, don't feel cheated. How often do you replace your pc? For me 4 yrs is the absolute max life expectancy. I feel the same about my game machines. It's time for a new machine!

People get tired of things quiker then previous generations. Always looking for the next "must have" iteam(s). A lot of people any more, live in the future, then in the here and now. We wouldn't be on here, if we didn't want something new. So, quite frankly, I think I can give you an answer to everyone here, no.

Then again, I've thought to my self that it would be good if the new systems could hold off for a while longer. Many of you may of thought this as well. However, why are we here, waiting for it, if we didn't want it to come out so early? It's part adiction, and it's just part of the generation. If you don't have the cool iteam, your left behind.

And also since Halo 2 pretty much pushed the Xbox 180 to the max, it is probably time to move on to some newer hardware.

yeah I see it as perfect...the xbox can still do amazing stuff and I like that idea instead of watching my system put out an extra year or so of crap and outdated tech

Nah, I dont feel cheated. Im actually rather excited about whats to come..And in 5 or so years, I will be ready for a new machine...And tha cycle continues. You know what they say...."out with tha ond and in with tha new". Its a cycle, Old must always make way for new. As new respects and also learns from tha old. Xbox360 used alot from tha Xbox which in turns makes it better. Just upgraded....Graphics, A.I, XBOX Live, Ect...

No, because the limits of each system were being pushed, therefor, that is the sign to make another system if you want to stay in the market. PS2 has Shadow of the Colossus, GameCube has RE4, and XBox has well, someone else tell me what did it. I never had one, so I can't say.
