Posts: 190 | The secret weapon I think that Nintendo is going to be the new Playstation in the next gen. They're going to be ahead of Sony I know it they're probably going to have some kind of new technology or something. Virtual reality even! but they did say that they won't be using HD so its gonna be something new so i hope M$ is ready for it!
By the way i'm an Xbox fan all the way I just think M$ should be aware of their surroundings.

Posts: 452 | M$ should be very aware of Nintendo, they havent played any of their Trump Cards yet (or so they have led us to believe...).
But that doenst mean they should slow down for them.

By the way i'm an Xbox fan all the way I just think M$ should be aware of their surroundings. | What ever their hiding: its not going to be as powerful as the xbox360. That we already know, there’s a reason why the two most powerful consoles are the biggest. What ever their revolution is, it’s not going to be in the graphics, it’s probably going to be in how u play their games.
But power doesn’t mean victory, as we all know.
And it’s not going to be holographic projection. I know it’s in testing, but years off, maybe even decades from practical use in homes; the technology is still in its infancy. |

Posts: 1,875 | Nintendo is in their own world. They have already stated that the Rev. will not be on the same level as the Xbox 360 and PS3. What they have going on is silent marketing. They aren't saying much, so their fan base is. So much speculation is creating a buzz that has most of us wondering, "What does Nintendo have up their sleeve?".
It will be a full year before Nintendo launches their next gen console, so we could be wondering for a while. Although maybe they'll make an announcement near November, when the first next gen consoles debuts. You can bet Sony will be talking about something, albeit a lie or marketing scene. |

Posts: 452 | All Nintendo have to fight off the Xbox 360 is Zelda: The Twilight Princess. And that will be launched before the 360, so they will lose a lot of GC sales I imagine.

Posts: 68 | As of now, Nintendo has next to no strong third-party support. This is essential if they want to stand a chance. Capcom tried to help them out with the Capcom 5, but that project failed. It doesn't matter how great the technology is, if no one supports it, then Nintendo will take yet another kick in the teeth. |

Posts: 722 | I must admit I'm concerned about the controller interface. If it's so innovative, it may becomes difficult to convert next gen multi-format titles across to the Revolution. Nintendo seem to be talking about fewer buttons and a simpler controller, moving away from what we are seeing now. I'm just hoping this move doesn't turn out to be a problem for Nintendo and third party support.

Yeah, well MS has the halo franchise. And that’s going to do the same thing to Nintendo and Sony, but at a much bigger level.
And don’t for get that chances are, because of the low cost of the revolution, most people will buy the revolution with one of the other major consoles, eventually. |

Think about this, try playing halo 2 ore any of the tom raider games with just the basic buttons. It’s not possible. With most the games that are coming out soon on the next gen. consoles, it’s going to be even more difficult for simpler controllers.
I think simpler controls are going to work for Nintendo, but not for MS ore Sony. |

Posts: 525 | Mostly from what I've seen, both PS3 and 360 fans want the Rev. as a secondary console (Nintendo fans obviously wanting it as a primary), so everything works out. |

Im hoping to buy one on launch though, as Online Super Smash Brothers really interests me.

Nintendo always has people buying their console as secondary systems. They will always be making money so why would they leave the hardware business |
