October 26, 2005 - Killer 7 producer Gouichi Suda (also known as Suda 51) wasn't shy about his enthusiasm for the Revolution in a recent commentary piece on the system's controller with Japan's monthly Nintendo Dream publication. In addition to speaking favorably about the controller, Suda suggested that he and his studio, Grasshopper Manufacturer, already had a plan in place for a Revolution game.

Suda has gone into a bit more depth as part of a similar feature in the latest issue of Famitsu. Following some heavy praise where he suggests that the controller could change the face of gaming, Suda reveals that he's finalizing plans for an original Revolution game. While details are a secret at this point, he tells us that we can expect something extreme, in line with what one expects of a Grasshopper title. The game will focus heavily on direct input through the controller, and will, he promises, exceed Killer 7.

So there you have it -- a new Revolution game being created by the forces that made Killer 7. We'll point out that while Capcom published Killer 7, Grasshopper is an independent studio, so this new title could end up seeing release through other publishers.

Great news. I love Suda 51. His craftsmanship made Fire Pro Wrestling what it is today. And as for Killer 7: Don't even get me started

Well, at least we know that Nintendo will get some third party support this gen.

Although the lack of 3rd party support could be Nintendo's downfall. Who says developers are going to want to spend their time and money learning a whole new system/controller design (with less graphical power than the PS3 or 360, mind you) when they can develop for Microsoft or Sony?

I have no doubt that they will come out with another brilliant, innovative title. Killer 7 is one of the best games this generation, I'd love for them to create a follow-up to it.

Well I had high hopes for Killer 7, and it didn't interest me that much when it came out. Hopefully his ideas can be better emulated with the revolutions controller.

Come to think of it, aren't all of the revolutions game 'new'. It says in your title that it's a 'new' game in development...LOL, sorry I'm just messing with you.

To whomever said something about the beta kits, I'm sure there have been early beta kits sent out already. The system isn't as powerful as the xbox 360, so all the parts should be easy to come by for developers.
