Default Revolution will come 1st or 2nd, PS3 or 360? One will do well, the other will fail!

I personally think that the XBOX 360 and PS3 are so similar that one will do really well, and the other will fail. If loads of people buy the XBOX 360 when it comes out then when the PS3 comes out no one will be amazed at it and they wont be amazed at the price either. BUT, if people think, "Ill wait for the PS3 as I love SONY and know they make good consoles..." then the XBOX 360 will fade away. I think that definatly one of these will happen as I dont think there is enough market space for both companies. This leaves Nintendo with there Revolution, whether everyone buys it as a second console due to its cheap price, or whether it revolutionises everything and becomes the heart of gaming and comes 1st, we will have to wait and see.

Here is how I see things happening. There a whole lot of fans waiting for the PS3.

Either...

1. the long wait will make them say "screw it I'm getting a 360" as it has been said a holiday '06 release is possible

or

2. the high price, as I said, the PS3 will probably be around $500, when people see that and the games as being $20 more than a 360's they'll think that the improved graphics aren't worth the cost and they'll get a 360

I think X360 will finished in first place world wide, now the was/race is between the revo and the "glorious ps3", i think in America Revo will finished up 2nd, but in europe the ps3 will finished 2nd. I dont know about japanese market because its still a battlefield in there. But thats how i see things

Australia, to be sincere, i dont think they care much about marketing in australia (dont get me wrong) because its not a big market. Australians, in my opinion, will support the x360 as their main system. I think its too bad they give preferences to some countries first

That is a strong possiblility.

I believe that the PS3 will be in second with the Revolution being a very close to the PS3. And I think that the major selling point of the 360 has to be the connectivity and online service of Live. They other systems may have the equivalent of one but not both.

you know i was thinking, sony might do better than people think. early xbox release will start a growth spurt for hdtv. now people not getting a xbox will sit back. the tv prices could fall a lot before sony releases. tv companies will see what xbox did for retail sales of tvs.

in the future plasmas and lcds could fall abit (i aint saying price drops like i can go out and buy 2 with a months check, but fall enough to make a difference) if sony was smart, they would see how much ground they lost to xbox due to it coming out sooner, and make a special on buying a sony hdtv and ps3 at same time. parents would be more likely to buy then, they would see that they would be getting a good tv in the process.

just my 2 cents. just a possiblity, its not the gospel by any means.
