The PS3 will dominate in Asia. Now that, is a really good guess.

thats not really true alot of the japanese games are come to the 360 and it will be cheaper, better looking, and free xbox live. I think the 360 will come out pretty good in Asia.

Yeah, i like the parts where they say that microsoft is driving sony into the ground, sony is developing the ps3 with limited resources, sony is fireing 10,000 workers.

I read the article, then forwarded it on to some "educated" friends to get their perspective. It'll be interesting to see how all this pans out, though. If the PS3 launches in one year (as I suspect), it'll be screwed. Some points are already highlighted in the article, but in Holiday`06, if the PS3 launches, it'll face a Xbox 360 with price cuts, 2nd generation titles and potentially Halo 3. Along with that, the cheaper Revolution will be out also with a unified online service with new Mario, Zelda and Metriod titles, aside from the huge library extending back to the NES for download.

Then you have the PS3, probably $400 or so for a stripted down console with one controller, no hdd, no unified online service and probably about 15 launch games, which most likely look no better than the 360 launch games. I bet they'll throw in a free game though.

I don't have any ill-will towards Sony, really. Actually, I support gaming competition- keeps things fresh. But even from a standback perspective, the business model doesn't look good. Maybe I am missing something, maybe the fan base is stronger than I have attributed, but even still, if the two consoles really are "a wash" in terms of performance, why pay for an expensive duplicate one year later (i.e., 360 now, or PS3 in a year for the same eye bling, bling)?

Guess we'll see.

PS3 blink, now X360 will sell better all throughtout the world, Nintendo will do well in japan and in America, the ps3 might do something in Europe, but i see them far from winning any "war"
