If you took into consideration the rest of the world instead of the corner you live in you will see that they couldnt have had revolution and wii is an ok option.
Revolution is almost impossible to pronounce in japanese so its hardly a good name for their biggest market.
Wii is clever imo, and we'll get used to it like we got used to "iPod"

Alright! When I first heard of the iPod, i didn't think it was a weird name because the "i" means its for me and i didn't really care about the "pod" part. lol. I have a comment. I think the letters of Wii is like a code. I'm just saying for an idea and a wild guess! You may never know! Back to the code part.

I am sorry, but the name just leaves too much in the open. I am sure the system will be good (as most already know my opinion on that anyway) but come on! Wii? That's just bad IMO. Sure people will get used to it, but it's just not that good. Revolution is a good name, but it apparentally can't be easily pronounced in Japanese. Well, why not call it the Nintendo Experience with Next Gen Stuff or NENGS for short! LOL But really, why not the Nintendo Generation. That could be simply saying that they have gone from one generation of thinking and innovation to another.
