Is Sony's free online service a rip-off of xbl silver?

I really do not understand some of you xbox people. Why are you all so upset with what sony is doing? Some of you act like when the PS3 comes out they are going to take away your 360. News flash THEY WON'T. Come on who cares what idea sony took from somewhere else and used as theirs, everbody does it including MS. Sony is no threat to microsoft just as microsoft is no threat to sony. The gaming industry to so huge now that both companies can thrive easily. They each offer special things of their own which is why true gamers such as myself will own both. I could care less where a company gets an idea as long as it works and works well.

I used my hardrive alot to save music and game saves. Also the HDD was not that big on xbox 1. I don't agree with sony on saying it was useless. u also needed the HDD on the xbox to get the Halo 2 maps they brought out.

about the HDD in xbox1.. just went to my buddys house and he had 67 full albums on it with all he game saves... and the guy has over 100 games.... and it still says he has 50k/50k blocks remaining. and no he did not mod it.
