"The development team would rather concentrate its resources on the other three platforms." Max Steller, from THQ Quote from THQ site "The next installment in our perennial SmackDown franchise is slated for release across multiple game systems this holiday," the statement began. "The highly anticipated WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 is scheduled to ship for Xbox 360, PSP and PlayStation 2 in November. Consistent with our goal of delivering the highest quality content across all next-gen platforms, we have decided to postpone the debut of the SmackDown series on PlayStation 3 until the holiday 2007 timeframe."

Posts: 8  | smackdown vs. raw delayed for ps3 I just read on 1up.com that smckdown vs. raw will be delayed utill WINTER '07. I wonder if this will start a trend in delaying games for the ps3. I read that the ps3 was difficult to develop for but man. thats like a whole year just to port a game over to the ps3. On an other note, what games are supposed to be available when the system launches? anyone know? And what about MGS4 whats the release date for that title. maybe it will be pushed back to 2010!!!  |

didnt realy mean to post something already posted, but I was juattrying to start a discussion if this will in fact be the norm of ps3 multiplatform development, taking substantialy longer to develop for. I was thinking of purchasing a ps3 perhaps a year or so after its release once its affordable, but now i'm not to sure if the games just trickle out. | |

Posts: 1,227  | It's not delayed it's basically cancelled and they might release the next version of smack also for the ps3. It's like saying they delayed madden 2007 and instead will released on in 2008. It would be a different game since it would then by madden 2008.
