i heard that youwill not be able to lend o rent ps3 games as wen you put the game i your machine it wont work on any other thatwas the rason i got x box and have not waited till march for ps3 is this true.

No that can not be true, because the PS3 would have to be able to modify the disk.

Plus it's stupid.

I'm not sure which is worse, the people who start these ridiculous rumors, or the ones who believe them.

You believed it, and you bought a Xbox because of it...starting to see the point?

There's more to making money long-term than "tricking" people into buying your product. There's a little thing called reputation, and Sony is already hurting. It would be a pretty stupid move for them implement something like that and drive away potential sales, not to mention the loss in rental sales. (how many copies of each game to you suppose Blockbuster buys?)

And there's still the fact that the disk is READ ONLY, meaning it can't be changed. Plus the PS3 is READ ONLY, meaning it can't write any data TO the disk, it only reads it. (how would one PS3 leave a note for another PS3 to even KNOW the disk had been in there?) It's pretty basic stuff here fella.

i heard that from a good source and how many games would be bought instead of rented ,how much do they loose as blockbuster dont pay full wack fo the ental games and they will still stock them for re sale , i would not put it past them , aslo how can sony be huting they invented mp3 so i dont think they give a **** , , no body believed smocking would be baned were gettig there , you get me FELLA
