Hey if their is any computer gamers out there I have a question. Is it possible to get a new power on the computer I bought from gateway?

take it to a custom computer shop, they can do it... better question though.. is why? the PS you have is gonna be enough for the computer they gave you... what are you adding?

Yeah the best option is to take to a local computer shop. More than likely they will have to contact Gateway and get a power supply sent from them to replace your current one. Most companies like that Gateway and HP especially use a smaller size power supply in their systems, which means you can't just go to any store like Staples or Best Buy and buy a regular power supply.

I changed power supply on my gateway comp you need to find out what form factor you have ATX or Micro atx type tower and so forth then you will pretty much know what type of power supply to put in that will fit.

I want to upgrade my graphics card and I only have a 300w power supply.

How hard is it to install the power supply myself because I live in a small town that doesn't have a computer shop. Also I found out was that it is a BTX case form factor.
