Insecure lol? It's all righteous truthiness. Almost all of the Wii games are set to please 10 year olds. Zelda? Mario? Prime? nty.

So people that don't want to play E rated kiddie games with Mario in the title are 12 year old GTA thugs? I'm an adult, and I'll play games targeted to my demographic. Go rescue Zelda for the 20th time, and leave us to play the grown-up games.

1. i'm not really a Nintendo fanboy. The Wii is my first Nintendo console since the SNES days.

2. So you don't fit the demographic everyone? How did you manage that?

3. I only said the GTA thing because that is over generlization. Just like you, and your kiddie comment.

I haven't played a GTA game since the very first one, and I didn't spend more than 30 minutes with it. You're telling me Nintendo is not geared towards children? That's utter foolishness if that's what you're suggesting.

This is ridiculous. If you want to play Mario Cart 17 go ahead but as for me, I lost interest in all that in about 5th grade. I'm mature unlike some, so I like to play mature games. I don't know if you're old enough to buy them(wouldn't surprise me) but maybe you should move on.....or not.

*sigh* I'm 20 years old . I played my first M rated game when i was 9. Over time i got bored of shooters, and moved on to bigger, and better things.

There is no law that states that you can only own one console. I plan on getting either a PS3/360 next year. My favourite genre is JRPG. Unfortunetly 360 owners don't appreciate rpg's that are better than the dumbed down WRPG Oblivion. So i'm leaning towards the PS3. Even though it's performance so far has been somewhat lackluster.

My definition of mature means that you don't have to re-affirm his masculinity every 5 seconds. So unfortunetly you don't qualify.

I didn't realize cartoony characters and mind-numbingly dull, turn-based combat was the epitome of RPG sophistication. To me, JRPG's are very much dumbed down compared to real-time RPG's such as Oblivion (which you obviously have not played on your Wii). Very few people outside of Japan can stand those games. They are not even a blip on the NPD radar outside Asia. I'll wait and see if the Wii gets a library of quality games, but you couldn't pay me to play a JRPG. If Wii can prove its a viable console, and not a gimmick, I'll pull the trigger.

2. If you don't have a 360, why are you here?
3. If you're 20 and playing Mario Cart you have some serious problems. Though it is hard to believe that you're 20 when you can't spell "unfortunately" or "I'm".

Sorry, I didn't know I was letting out the closely-held secret that the Nintendo Seal of Quality means nothing anymore, and 3rd party developers are allowed to publish anything that utilizes motion control and fits on a shiny silver disc. Wii has some of the worst rated games of any console. If you're going to ask me to step down from HD graphics, hard drive storage, and quality online play, virtual pet games won't cut it.

If I'm not mistaken, fortunzfavor, you do not yet own a 360. Tobli has already said that he does not own either of the systems that have a pair of balls. All I can say is that once either of you starts gaming with a 360 or PS3, Wii is going to look like a child's toy to you. Maybe you'll pull out your Wii Sports once in a while, but the quality games you'll look forward to will be on one of the other two systems.

When I asked this question, it was an honest question, not a rhetorical device. It's intent was to guage what your standards for viability were. My own complaints about game quality on the Wii go back well before I came here, but was even debuted in my first post. I'd wager I know more about the Wii's deficiencies than you do.

I was extremely close last month. Then my '91 Honda Civic, after 8 loyal years of service, died it's final death. My 360 fund is gone, along with most of my savings, and pretty much all of my gaming money for the next year.

Your underlying assumption, that I'm not familiar with the Wii's weaknesses, is incorrect. As a longtime PC gamer, I also have a better stock of comparison than either the 360 or the PS3.
