MGS Beta Problem

ok so i went through all the crap to get my code, then i waited forever to download the game...but now it's time to download the patch and it's being a ****! every time i try the HTTP download it says there is a network error and the P2P download just stays at 0. i can't connect to anyone to download it from, i left it on overnight last night and nothing, **** all progress! can anyone help?

The best way to do it is to just leave it on P2P, that's what I did. It will take a long time but it will get there eventually. Have faith!

it not connecting to anyone on P2P tho, i left it on all night and still no connections, every now and then it finds 1 person and downloads at like 0.4kb/s lol

Ok, I'm having another problem here...I can't get a damn Konami ID! When I go on the site and enter my first page of details and press "next" it comes up with "Period of inactivity has caused page to be void" and I have to start again...but I'm doing it as fast as I can! There's some serious bugs here and the Konami.ID webmaster better fear for his life.

Yeah, just wait few days. the fact half of europe is trying to get an ID is a bit much on site.

my bittorrent has been downloading for 2 ****ing days and it only at 13%! the download rate has NOT exceeded 1KB/s this demo is a ****in joke, more trouble than it's worth, it better be ****in good if i acutally manage to get the ****ing thing

Blame your connection, not the game

I got an average of about 95kb/s...it went as high as about 280kb/s

Ditto. I kept gettin kicked off tho, I'll download it when the beta goes live on the 21st.

yeah because my connection regularly download stuff at 1KB/s max...

for all of you guys having problems getting an ID try this. I tried probably 10 times then found this and it worked the 2nd try. hope this helps.

Guide: How to get a Konami ID within 20 mins

I tried all day and got soooo **bleep** off with errors and timeouts, but I used my noggin and have created a way to get in within a few minutes (if you're lucky) and a maximum of 20 mins (if you're unlucky)

* You need Firefox
* Goto Tools Add ons, Get Extensions
* Find the AutoFormer add on and install it and restart the browser
* gotohttps://id.konami.netand click register (Blue button on the left) - might take a while but keep trying
* Enter your date of birth and go to edit in Firefox menu and find AutoFormer, click Save all fields - this will now save you entering the DOB again if you need to come back to this stage
* click next
* Wait until the terms show before clicking next again
* fill out the entire form carefully, don't rush you have all the time in the world. Make sure you don't use capitals in username, and make sure game id password is all numbers. Make sure phone number and postcode have no spaces
* now before clicking next click edit again and AutoFormer>save all fields
* Click next, it'll probably fail due to time taken to complete the form. Don't worry
* Start again, this time your DOB should be auto inserted click next to terms, click next to form, click next to confirmation click next and you're done - SIMPLE!!!


If you get kicked out at any point, start again. The point is you don't have to keep re-inserting data and this gives you a MUCH higher chance of getting through before timeouts.

Edit - WHEN you get in, remember to click the link in the confirmation email within 72 hours to view & agree to the T's & C's

Your Password must be a combination of alphanumeric characters of 8-32 characters in length.


WTF is that about, It wont take letters only, numbers only, or a combo of letters & numbers.

so please explain, how does putting numbers in his password NOT make it alphanumeric? (unlike you i don't think that i'm the smartest man in the world and everyone else is a total idiot, so i'm assming that he's not stupid and his password will already contain some letters)
