gears of war couldn't compete with resistance. there was actually a story in resistance and i couldn't stand the multiplayer in gears of war.

Thats an opinion not fact.

From memory, resistance sold no where near what GOW sold. Secondly, resitance ran in only 720p and graphically was not up to GOW standards. Multiplayer currently has a huge following on XBL to this day, and still ranks in the top 10 most played Live games each week.

Whats going to be so different about Res 2 as opposed to the plethora of stuff thats going on in Gears 2? Enlighten us.

While I agree with pretty much everything you have stated, be fair. Comparing those sales figures (from memory mind you) are misleading without explaining the fact that hardly anyone owned a PS3 then, all the while the 360 was selling like hotcakes. Resistance didn't have the privilege of being a 360 title.

both games are utter crap, but resistance is by far the worst

it has no storyline either, every level is just shooting aliens in different scenery, there are no obsectives other than shoot aliens, so damn boring and lame

what if the object was to shoot illegal aliens? the game would be called Border Patrol and become an instant hit here in the states.

overhyped - bound to disappoint.

I'll bet my money that Bioshock is received far better on PS3.

From what ive played of Resistance it seems like a pretty average shooter. 2 might be good but even the biggest PS3 fanboy couldn't say its going to be the best FPS ever

I never completed either game although i had them for a long time i only bought R1 for the online play which wasn't that bad. Hopefully things will improve on the R2.

I don't have any interest in Resistance 2, or any shooter on the PS3 for that matter. I buy shooters for multiplayer only, which makes them a better fit for 360. If R2 is as crappy as R1, GoW2 will PWN all.

At least it's not the overhyped POS that Killzone 2 is...................the first game was crap now the shiny sequel is gonna be good? Don't bet on it.
