The PS3's New Interface/Browser

Judging by how popular the PSP interface was, Sony has developed it for the PS3 with a sleek looking interace and many many options. I did not start this thread to start a flaming thread but just to show you the new browser.

I admit it looks quite good and runs quite smoothly except for that last part that was still being worked on. though I would still like to see more for the online capabilities.

Yea, but I wasnt a big fan of the PSP interface. I did like some of the features, but in my opinion doesnt have as nearly as the 360 does.. Such as online features... Ehh Im not too excited about the PS3 but oh well good job sony I guess..

The online function was in there she just didnt view it. it was the sphere icon near the back of the options.

looks cool and i'm glad its original but it doesn't look very organized and also its very dark which isn't a good idea for a tv screen.

thats just what i was thinkin fordGTguy. I dont think the ***station, woops sorry, playstations interface is that organized. and to have it black, common. I dont know, in a while they wont even be able to afford software for that interface.

well a very dark background can hurt your eyes.

Well, it looks alot like the PSP for sure. But remember that the colour of the PSP's interface background can be changed...

It isn't a bad interface just lacking in innovation and design.

Yeah the interface I guess was sort of cool, but it just looks like the same Sony interfaces we've seen. I can only guess they took the easy route with their online component too

well its basically a modified psp interface. not too impressive although the browser feature is nice and could play to sony's advantage since the 360 doesnt have it.

It looks good, but it looks like that they are trying to hard to make it have a PC feel to it. I dont want a PC, I would like to have a game console. I already have a good PC.

Who would need it I mean if you have the internet you have to have a computer, right? Plus the general public could build a better PC for less(just have to know the right places

) the money then paying up to +600$ for just a modified PC..

P.S: I could be mistaken but wasnt their a article here on the frontpage saying the X360 does have a web broswer as long as you have a media center PC?

I bet you the fall xbox 360 update will have a browser. They are probably working out the kinks the last thing everyone needs is adware or a virus if thats possible.

ace: No.. If you have a media center PC, the xbox360 simply streams the content the PC is outputting.. If you install a browser (not by default) on the media center pc, into the Media center interface, you can access it by the xbox360.., since it streams the media center output from the pc.

Its pretty annoying it streams the things, since it makes it slower, to f.eks. stream the thumbnails of directories with videos and such :/
