Default Wii launch games list..

Quote:
[Wii] 28 games could be waiting for you at launch

Though there's still no official list from Nintendo, several publishers have commented on their potential Wii launch lineup. If all the claims are to be believed, we could be looking at 28 games within the first month or so. Remember that "launch" doesn't necessarily mean "Day One," and some of these games aren’t going to make it by the end of the year, let alone launch (Crystal Chronicles, we're looking at you). Regardless, here's a tentative list we've pieced together:

Avatar: The Last Airbender (THQ)
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII (Ubisoft)
Blitz: The League (Midway)
Call of Duty 3 (Activision)
Cars (THQ)
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (Atari)
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors (Square Enix)
Elebits (Konami)
Excite Truck (Nintendo)
Far Cry (Ubisoft)
GT Pro Series (Ubisoft)
Codename: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers (Square Enix)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo)
Madden NFL 07 (EA)
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Activision)
Metal Slug Anthology (SNK)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Nintendo)
Monster 4x4 World Circuit (Ubisoft)
Need for Speed Carbon (EA)
Open Season (Ubisoft)
Rampage: Ultimate Destruction (Midway)
Rayman Raving Rabbids (Ubisoft)
Red Steel (Ubisoft)
SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab (THQ)
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz (Sega)
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (Activision)
Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Atlus)
Wii Sports (Nintendo)

Sadly missing from this list: Super Mario Galaxy and WarioWare: Smooth Moves, two games that'd practically eject Wiis through every checkout line in the country. The Leipzig Games Convention kicks off next week in Germany, and word is every major Wii question you have will be answered there - so keep your eyes and ears sharp, especially on the 23rd, when Nintendo delivers its press conference.

YAY Red Steel is a launch title.

That's a better list than the PS3's (well, what isn't?).

Thats quite the list, I doubt they are all going to be at launch games. Maybe ten or so, tehn the others wil come out over the next month or two.

I just really want Red Steel, Wario, Trauma center and ,maybe the sports game.

Red Steel looks pretty cool, and Metal Slug Anthology with the Wii controllers should be pretty cool. I may have to reconsider...

The Wii has the best launch line-up I have ever seen for a console. I'm really suprised that there aren't any Mario games of any sort though, even the Gamecube had a Mario title (Luigi's Mansion).

I'm hoping Mario Galaxy makes the list.

These are the ones I'm interested in:

Call of Duty 3 (Activision)
Excite Truck (Nintendo)
GT Pro Series (Ubisoft)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo)
Metal Slug Anthology (SNK)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Nintendo)
Need for Speed Carbon (EA)
Red Steel (Ubisoft)
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (Activision)
Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Atlus)
Wii Sports (Nintendo)

Well, we've got about 3 months until the launch, so let's see which ones actuallu make it. I think the 360 had 25 titles or so as well, but only launched with... 17(?) in the end.

Hmm, about 5 games I want. I'll probably get a Wii for Christmas, just for the hell of it.
