Posts: 2,347 | Help! Thinking about buying Lost Planet: Extreme Condition So my question is: Is Lost Planet worth it for 40 Euros?
Also, can somebody explain that T-Energy thing to me? And how difficult is Lost Planet?

Posts: 200 | I think Lost Planet is worth the money. It's a pretty deep game and could be counted as a very good next-gen title from its presentation. I haven't played any online multi cause I hear the communities are far too aggressive and that's not my style. But definitely worth having. The T-Energy is thermal energy used to maintain body temperature seeing as how you are fighting on a frozen planet. You collect it from the dead Akrid, snow pirates, and the various destructible environment items like cars, drums, and tankers. |

Posts: 841 | Yep... Your T-Energy continues to run down as you do anything(walk/fight/drive/anything). When it is gone your life meter will start to drop and soon you will die. The good thing is there is a ton of the stuff around so you can pick it up as you go along. Adds a little something to the regular same old life bar...
Great game, IMO. Online is fun and they just came out with some new maps last week. They are also working on more right now. Like anything it has some annoyances. The controls sucked when I first started, but I found in the options where you can change it to what I would consider normal and now it is great. Worth it IMO. See ya~

Posts: 5,352 | Don't even waste your cheddar on it ... Rent it and it takes about a day to complete ... Also the Thermal Energy bull**** was absurd, the plot is Scotracer stupid, and it's a lot shorter than I would have expected. |

Posts: 2,347 | I tried the demo, and after a while my T-Energy went down and I died, so i was like "fuk this" I'm not in for it. I mean, i would get it if it wasn't for that energy thing.

Posts: 200 | Keep in mind the T-Energy sources are all over the place. As long as you keep moving and shooting, you shouldn't really have trouble keeping your level pretty high. It's when you stop and try to kill all the enemies in one place and get hit a lot that you run out. I think it's one of those things that's designed to keep the game moving. |

Posts: 197 | get it I think its worth buying. I played it and yea at first I was thinking that it would suck with the whole losing energy thing, but when you play it, you just really forget about it cuz their is so much stuff to get energy from just lying around. Go for it and get it. But just in case your not ready yet, just rent it and try it. |

Posts: 1,873 | I'd more than likely agree with you, if I knew what the hell you was going on about.
I always find it helpful for others if I put the name of the game in the post title or even the post itself. |

Posts: 3,295 | I liked Lost Planet. I didn't buy it; instead opting to keep it for 6 weeks from gameznflix.com. As mentioned, T Energy abounds and is not too much of a problem to find until you start fighting a boss. The VS suits were pretty cool, but a little too infrequent.

Posts: 186 | I've been considering getting this too, but more and more people are telling me to rent. I only play a few select titles for the online experience (Tom Clancy titles, Halo, enter other big name franchise here) because I know the community will hold up. I'd like to try this for the single player, but like Gears of War, I don't want to have to sell it on ebay. after two weeks of playing (loved GoW, but didn't like the online past the cooperative story mode).
But back to Lost Planet, I keep hearing the single player is extremely short.
