Posts: 1   |  Watching AVI on my 360 So today I decided to try media center on my xbox and connect to my computer to watch my movies. So far I can view pictures and listen to my music on my xbox, however I can't watch any movies (in AVI format) since it's telling me that I do not have the required codecs. Clearly I have the correct codecs since I can watch these videos on my computer just fine... So do I need these codecs on my xbox as well? If so, how would I do this? Any help is much appreciated. |

Posts: 3,229  | You can only watch videos that are encoded by either DivX or Xvid on the Xbox 360, no others. So it's quite clear none of the movies you have tried are in either format. Be careful in future when it comes to what you want to watch. |
