O.k, so today marks the official birthday of Dead Rising. I see some people already have it and are playing it (yeah liveresistance, ill looking at you!) Since im at work right now and will pick it up in a few hours *sob*, i thought id start the thread about the full game, not the demo. Anyone who has it already, please post your thoughts here and use this thread until the dead rising section is available under the games section.

since this is my last day of summer vacation i'm gonna and try to get as much play time as possible. i'll prolly get it around 1 p.m. central time

yeaH let me know, cause I only have 70 bucks, and it is between dead rising or Saints Row. I think i am leaning toward saints row. Tell me how game play is when you buy it

i work 4 the phone company, so i am driving all day. just stopped at game rush to look at dead rising.... they dont get theirs till friday!!!! thats were i have trade credit..... damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got it a couple hours ago... its pretty sweet and the missions are fun... The only flaw is the save system. Boy do I hate the save system...

i love it. got home a couple hours ago as well. i dont mind the save system. i dont hate it or love it. it does the job. ill tell you what i do love though....this game!!!! Im on mission case 2 and thats where ill end off for the night. no time to play for a couple days.,....sux

I picked it up yesterday and I love the the wide amount of objects you can use to kill zombies. I do agree that the save system is a bid odd but I can deal with it. So far so good.

You wanna know something very truthful? Im more impressed with the story and how the game is setup than anything else. And thats coming from someone who only wanted this game really for the senseless killing. Im impressed! Starts off very good in the helicopter where you look around and take pictures of things happening in the town, and uickly slaps you into the mall with some survivors who dont quite make it....at least mine didnt... Anyways, its good, storys good, but now im starting to see how the save system can get kinda bothersome. If only they would have let you have more than one save slot (why would they do that anyways? error? forgot? arseholes? who knows, but they should make a patch or something if possible to fix that.)

I went to my Gamestop at lunch yesterday (Tuesday), but the guy said they wouldn't have it til later in the day. I called right before I got off work and they had it then so I went after work and picked it up. Been playing for the last couple days and I am kinda having mixed feelings about it right now. I think taking out the zombies with whatever you think of is a blast, however, I'm kinda having trouble trying to figure what all I'm suppose to do. I guess it will just take some playing around with it. I must say I am not a big fan of the save system either, but I've seen worse. Anyway, I guess I will say I'm feeling neutral about the game right now, but maybe with more practice I will feel more positive about the game.

It's good, but man, the save spot stuff sucks! Just like reviews have said, saving is a pain. But, I did make zombie stew with a lawnmower!

1 question, are the mission nicely organize like oblivion where it lists the quests and you choose your active quest. Or are you bombarded with the missions and have a certain time frame to finish them or else you lose that mission (I'm talking about side missions).
