so far shane, its only happend on GTA4. sometime my movies go lighter/darker when watching blu ray, so something may be up w/ the ps3 i got... or maybe my tv just dont like the hdmi port. who knows... but gta4 is definatly the only instance so far of the vid screen blanking out or going green on me for a few seconds here and there.

The ps3 version may look the same as 360version with a little easier to see at night and less dithering being an advantage on the ps3, but reformance wise on the whole the
Ps3 version is far far better. And i rented the 360 version yesterday so dont tell me im bull****ing cause i wanted it to be better on 360 so i could buy it for dlc and not feel like i was wasting cash

Just to let you know, this was happening to me when I first had a PS3. I changed the HDMI lead for a official sony one (instead of the ****ty Madcatz one) and it has been perfect ever since.

I'm guessing we've strayed from the accent angle.

Well, I don't understand it, but I kind of like that. You can guess whether it's good or bad from the level of wryness in their tone, the pause afterwards (if they wait for you to "get" it, it's probably worse), and whether or not there is a giggle accompanying it (I don't even want to say what that means). Then, you get to make up the specific meaning, and that can be fun.

I really don't think cliff notes or slang definition segments are required on the Podcast. We're a mixed bag that consists of unique dialect from both sides of the pond. We have quite a few European listeners who could argue that my US current events jokes or obscure celebrity references have an identical effect. Personally, when the listener comes across a "WTF does that mean" moment, I feel it is pretty funny. I have requested clarification on specific terms such as "grips my plops" and "bollocks" before although I have found that under certain circumstances it is best to leave the meaning up to the listener and his/her imagination. Oh and Boost, I did not include the PS3 GTA IV running under HD 720p because I felt it was nitpicking and the visual difference between both versions is negligible. It would be a mole hill into a mountain moment.

Yeah, I see your point, I guess one can of worms was already opened with the mention of IGN no need for anymore.

Its all good.

So if MS does announce a gyromote this week or next, will you at least mock it on the next PC? Even begrudging mockery would be a mood-booster for me.

If it tries to handle absolute motion with a compass and gyro, I might be mocking it right alongside you. Unless it works well and has serious past game support announced, and then I might really sell my Wii and join your ranks.

I will probably refrain from mocking the 360 X-mote to save myself the hassle of another 8 page Podcast thread debating the merits of IR. In all seriousness, I will not cast judgment until it is in my hands and I have had sufficient experience with it. If it works, that's great and I might use it during one of those drunken stupor moments but if it brings more users to the 360 I am all for it. Rumor has it Sony is attempting to develop a similar product but this is only a case in point moment of their imitation rather than innovation business model.

You gotta be a bit unhappy if your a PISN PS3 gamer. I mean, Home Delayed till 09, so too is Killzone 2, kind of changes the 08 predictions one would think.

im a ps3 owner and i dont care!!... well mostly because i use it only for BR movies cuz any game i want is almost always multiplatform and better on the 360 I do have to say now, that its not such a bad system now that i have been forced to spend real time with it. too bad they made it so complicated that noone can program it properly.

Technically, its immitation from MS and Sony both. If the Wii wasnt so darn popular, do you really think they would be making a similiar remote to take away the only "cool" thing about the Wii? It's all just an effort to stop Nintendo's momentum.

GT5 P and Uncharted have both shown what the PS3 is capable of, now its time for all the devs to cop on.

On this side of the pond, that's not allowed in 37 states.
