The Bigs on an UK console

Hi,

I have managed to track down a new copy of Bigs for a mega price of £10 and it will hopefully arrive next week from Play Asia:

I know i have posted quite a lot about Baseball games and UK consoles, but i have another question please:

The Bigs version i have purchased is for Asian / PAL territories, so hopefully it will work on my UK console. But if i go on live to play it (if it has on line play?) or to update it, am i risking any software / hardware problems from doing this - especially if the game is not intended for my country?

Hi,

The Bigs arrived yesterday exactly within the time frame given by Play Asia - a excellent service from start to finish......

It works!!! I can finally play a Baseball game on my UK console - the graphics arent the best, but i dont care as it's great fun! This is the first Baseball game i have played on a console since my Mega drive days of old. I can even put my old shirt number on the players uniform and play 2B as i used to, great!! - I am well chuffed with it.

I have also loged onto live whilst playing it and it was fine. It didnt update, but then it might not need updating?

The new MLB game comes out next week I believe. I wonder if it will be NTSC only again.

I know, i wasnt sure if it would work either, but for £10 i figured that it was worth the risk - i was luckly as the following day it was back up to the full price of £26.04

I had my first on line game with somebody last night and it was good. Unfortunately it was quite laggy, but still playable!

A new MLB game (MLB 2K8)? i wil have to keep a look out for this one as well.
