Posts: 24 | Just picked up Rainbow Six: Vagas, I got the Gamespot.com review here and my opinion! The Good: Intense tactical action that requires you to use cover realistically; fast rope off of helicopters, rappel down buildings, and smash through windows like a real commando; beautiful visuals that let you battle in a glittering first-world setting; impressive multiplayer suite supports a wide range of cooperative and competitive games.
The Bad: Story features some standard plot devices and lacks a satisfying ending.
That was the gamespot.com review and here is mine:
I thought that the A.I was some of the best A.I in a game. There is lots of shootem up action seens and the helicopter rope droppings are pretty realistic. I would definitly pick up this game if you are a Tom Clancy fan and if you have games like GRAW or Splinter Cell: Double Agent definitly PICK THIS GAME UP AND BUY IT!!! |

Posts: 74 | Being a fan of Tom Clancy and a even bigger fan of the Rainbow series I put this game down way to soon.
MY REVIEW!!!!!
GOOD- Gameplay is good, Graphics are good, Using the camera on your face is awesome, Tightroping is sweet.
BAD- Sounds of guns hard 2 tell what gun is which, Frags are way 2 deadly.
I rented it and so far I like it alot when I get the chance I am going to get it!!
Overall- 8.2 GOOD Anything 8-10 is buyable

Posts: 70 | I honestly thought it sucked. Graffics were poor, gameplay wasn't smooth, and the multiplayer was lame. |

Posts: 903 | The graphics are not as great as GOW, but the multiplayer is awsome and the coop is fun as hell in story mode.

Posts: 443 | I'm still on the fence with this game.... the controller mechanics bother me a lil bit...plus the frags are way to deadly especially since you can't run away/dodge away from them... it seems like it takes forever to kill someone I thought this was supposed to be a realistic shootem up game...all the guns to choose from and I still haven't found the gun for me, which makes it very frustrating trying to balance it out against other players. |

Posts: 577 | At first I was a little nervous about the purchase. I got it home, popped it in, and fell in love. The single is ok, AI seems to be halfway retarded on your team but its definately playable, and enjoyable. Next is online. I normally dont like online games. A few exceptions being any of the COD's, esp COD3. But for some reason I am hooked with R6's online modes. Mainly Team Sharpshooter. Basically team deathmatch. They have an excellent create a player mode and the options are damn near limitless. The more you play the more you unlock. Such as masks, helmets, guns, armor, and just about everything else under the sun. If you enjoyed games like the past R6's, Ghost Recons, and the such, you'll definately want to make this game a purchase!

Posts: 297 | How is this game when it comes to multiplayer. I know with GRAW you have to wait to join a game which i hate. i like games like halo2 were it picks people waiting in the lobby and puts them together. i think i might rent this tonight but lately i have been playin a **** load of halo2 and man has my skills jump a drastic amount towards being untouchable . Except that last two days i have been so tired from work i was horrible .

Posts: 15 | Being a Rainbow Six Fanboy, I am hooked on this, and I can say that this is the second best (xbox) Rainbow Six game evar! It's so fun on multiplayer, I have never actually played any of the single player modes for RS6, just because it's more fun online. I think it is worth a pick up, for long time fans, and new comers, but I must say, that at times it gets annoying due to killing issues, and there are a few bugs to still work out. Also, it's semi-realistic, not fully realistic which a lot of people make the mistake of saying. GRAW is more realistic then this.
All in all, I think it's at least worth a rent.

Posts: 278 | I too am a Rainbow Fanboy and love this. The customisation is incredible in this game. Mutliplayer really shines through but so does singleplayer when you play on realistic!
I love Splinter Cell aswell, i have all of them and can't get enough of a Tom Clancy creep fest!

Posts: 182 | I've really started to love shooters, and I think this one is one of the best I've played. SP is good, but online is fantastic. Even better with a group of three friends. Add in the customiztion elements and cover system (which I was sad GRAW took out for MP), and it's like crack rock for me.
I can't stop playing it. GOW was great, but just doesn't seem to have the staying power like this does. For me that is.
There are some cheap things about MP- clans and booting and spawn camping, etc, but overall, it's a great game. |

Posts: 62 | OK here's my take on the Rainbow Six for the 360: Attention Ubisoft---! GOOD:
1. AI is realistic and advanced in difficulty.
2. Shooting techniques improved addition to previous R6 games.
3. Decent Level Graphics-- BAD: - Does not have the option to allow Team-mates to Frag at an object you point to at any part of the game. Previous R6 had this option...which helps when you need to create cover when splitting up from team.
- When opening doors---Your automatically qued to open the door---without queing it yourself.
- You can't open doors slightly as in previous R6 games--This Feature helps when using the door as a sheild during frag and clear.
- When sending Teams in to Frag and clear rooms...you are automatically Que'd to option menu without queing it yourself---This takes away from the real-time experience during intense battles the computer does it for you automatically loosing the realism of the situtaion?
The bad parts of the game are missing features that are Really what the Rainbow-Six game should be distinctly seen as. I don't feel R6 Vegas will last as a Gaming unit if these simple features are not included in future Titles.
Bottom line...it's not a Real Rainbow 6 game but a similar easy to use model for amateurs. More production is required for alot of levels.
