Posts: 5   |  The over the shoulder view ruined Ghost Recon! My Gamertag | FirstPersonGRAW I just took it upon myself to create a gamertag that clearly displays that I host w/ forced 1st person. It's really sad that there is no other way to find a room forcing 1st person than to create a gamertag that informs others of the gameplan. I've pretty much given up on playing Blind Siege in rooms that allow the gimmicky OTS camera angle. I can't stand it anymore! I always used it in rooms of free choice so its not that I was at a disadvantage before. I just can't stand the way if effects this game! Every time you go into the defending teams base you can count on someone cover camping behind something waiting to spot something moving, something that has no ability to see the cover camper! Then the cover camper gets to decide when the best time is to pop out and finally expose themselves. Most times its while the attacker isn't even looking in the cover campers direction. Its just plain silly and is not good for the game IMO! Please tell me that there are others out there that actually understand this and see the OTS has ruined Ghost Recon. Join my friends list and help grow this little First Person community into something far bigger  |

Posts: 5,238  | I have always played 1st person in GRAW and always will. Having 3rd person doesn't feel like I'm playing a real 'shooter' game. OTS play is about as gay as Richard Simmons .... I don't like it. Feel free to add me as a fellow 1st person player to your list. |

Posts: 175 | IF you could actually SEE your weapon in fps-mode I'd play in that mode too. FPS mode in GRAW is crappy, it's just a reticle with tracker bullets appearing every once in a while.

Posts: 1,879 | I agree with each of you. Traditionally I play FPS style, however, because Ubisoft left out the weapon in their version, I play OTS view in that game. I really appreciate the style Ubisoft used in Rainbow Six: Vegas -- primarily a traditional FPS view, but becomes a OTS-ish style with the cover system. |

Posts: 5,238 | I don't need to see the weapon to kill people as long as you are in my crosshair we are all good. I did like the combo style utilized in R6 but it's too bad they couldn't implement the R6 cover system in GRAW. It would have made GRAW 2 that much better of a game. |

Posts: 3 | I personally play in OTS view as well because it feels like you're scoped in at all times in FP. It's like everyone is carrying around sniper rifles. I just feel that that the look for FP is lacking in what they could have done. Maybe the team that worked on RB6: Vegas needs to coordinate with the GRAW team and let them know whats up. But even RB6 mixing the different views with the cover system could be considered cover camping. The thing that will always work against a cover camper is to flank them any way possible even if it means throwing random grenades where you think they are hiding. Now I'm not supporting the use of random grenade throwing but there's always something out there that will get under everyone's skin. It's like on RB6 the Incindary grenade and it's blast radius, or you were behind cover and that grenade exploded 3 feet from the corner and still killed you. No system is going to be perfect but allow the gamer to play in a way they feel most comfortable. |

Its not my way, its the definitive way to play Ghost Recon! I don't use 1st person in regular rooms because if I do I'm at a huge disadvantage. I think you are kinda sad for assuming you know how I play this game! My opinion is that you suck in First Person and you can't compete w/o the ability to lie in wait and prey on people on the move by using your precious "cover" I think its pretty funny when people complain that there is no cover in GRAW, w/ OTS anything and everything becomes something you can hide behind and still be able to view THE ENTIRE BATTLEFIELD!
