Posts: 4,839      |  i can only tell you how i did it and hope it works for you i used media player 11, went to tools and sharing, allowed my 360 to share with my laptop then i went to shared folders which is also in tools and allowed it to share the specific folders that have my music, videos and pictures in

Posts: 4,839 | the all have to be converted to .wma i think, which is a pain in the arse because it takes a while to convert them and the quality usually drops. i had a dvd quality casino royale avi file and i converted it to wma and it now looks like it was filmed in a cinema with a camcorder. maybe my settings are wrong or something but i think that wma just sucks

Posts: 234 | If you want to play video files you have to convert the vid to WMV or it wont stream it. I wish they would make an update that would allow any vid files to be streamed. I use WinAvi to convert to WMV its the easiest way that i have found.

Posts: 4,839 | no problem i really dont understand why media player (an M$ program) will let you play all kinds of video files but XBOX 360 (M$ obviously) will only let you play ****ty wmv files. it really gets on my nerves, i'm hoping one day one of these update they keep releasing will actually let us stream movie formats with decent quality
