oblivion thief help please

im making a thief and alot of people say get illusion because of invis. and chameleon but i dont know if my magicka will be high enough to do that stuff. i have an argoninan and thinking about blade, security, sneak, acrobatics, light armor...for the last two im not sure if i should go with block, illusion, mercantile, or athletics thanx

Really the ones you have are perect the last few traits really arent necessary. You dont need chamelean ever all you need magic for is healing. What you can do instead of magic is get your sneak up by going somewhere you are allowed to go at night with lots of people in it. Then go into sneak mode set your controller on the floor in such a way that your guy will walk forwards into a corner or somthing (If you didnt go somwhere else to sneak). Next go somwhere and do somthing for an hour come back you should of leveled up then repeat steps again untill you are level 100. As for chamelean enchant your armor.

the enchanting thing is a good idea. if you have the wizards tower, learn invisibility, and get a bunch of filled black soul gems. get some light armor or whatnot that you want to wear, and imbue every peace of it w/ a full 10% invisibility. If you have everything right, you will have permanent 100% invisible with it on. With some sneaking, u will never ever ever be seen or caught. of course, after a while that can get boring. I suggest you put the spells on some lightweight cloth clothing and put it on when needed, and wear real armor otherwise.
get alchemy skill. Not only is it an extremely easy way to level up, its also a great way to make money and always have good potions which are 1/5th weight of bought ones.

Or Close a few Oblivion gates. Before you activate the Sigil stone at the top of the tower save the game. If you dont have the Chameleon Sigil stone re-load your game and activte it again it will be a different stone. Keep doing this until you have the right stone. Get 4 chameleon stones and enchant 2 rings 1 amulet/necklace and 1 cowl. Equip these Items to receive 120% invisibility. Or if you have wizzards tower. Do the Mace of Doom/Sigil Stone glitch.

I have never played Obivion but I was thinking of getting it. Is it worth it? Seems like alot goes into it.

have u actually done that glitch easy? i heard they fixed it with the latest patch. never got around to trying though.

Personally, I didn't like using the invis and chameleon spells. I was content to sneak around with my thief.
