The War To ENDWARS

I am sure by now that you have heard that Ubisoft is creating a new Tom Clancy game entitled ENDWAR to be set during WWIII. Sound good? Personally not to sure, as to what I have gathered the game sounds to be a strategy style next gen game like thats kinda like command in conquer where you have to take your army and go kill someone elses army. Not to say these games are bad, but i kinda gotten away from playing them. More of a FPS kinda guy. Will their be any FPS action? Like when you engage your army do you zoom into the battlefield and play through the eyes of the general and start commanding men and tanks kinda like you do in GRAW? If anyone has more info please share. What do you all think of this game and its direction?

I'm not sure but it has been implied EndWar will be an RTS which would be quite the change for a Clancy game. It will supposedly tie all the Clancy games (SS, GRAW, R6) together but as far as actual game play, details remain sketchy at best.

I was kinda hoping for a another FPS lol I know the 360 has alot but they are fun. Especially would be nice to get out of WWII or any past wars, no offense. Something new modern or maybe a few years forward that could actually happen to the world would be nice to see. No laser/plasma guns - going for realism.

I would imagine it's going to be a RTS (a.k.a. C&C). The same type of deal like someone else said... build your army, and go and destroy your enemies.

I'm willing to bet they will have units such as Sam Fischer (who will infiltrate enemy buildings and take them over), GRAW soldiers (out on the field), and R6 soldiers that can disarm enemy units or stop terrorism.

If it's a Tom Clancy game that suppose to tie all those together. Then imagine the different units in C&C-- Riflemen, RPGmen, Engineers, Tanya, Planes/Helicopters, etc. They all have their different line's of work. Just like the Tom Clancy games.

god, i hope its not just another shooter. sorry but the genre is being bled to death.. personally, other than GoW, i cant remember the last "shooter" i bought.

I can never have enough shooters ... As long as the game is quality it does not matter if it is a FPS or RTS I would buy it. I am sure the plot they have would be intriguing in order to tie all the Clancy franchises together.

I watched a trailer yesterday and it looks really nice. Although, none of it was gameplay.

yea, likewise. I mean is it going to look like a modern day comand and conquer. Or will we get to zoom in and do some first person fighting? Like we pick what spots to go to and then pick and choose the squad we want and then go FPS style. GIVE US SOME GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE!

There's a new shooter out every damn week it seems like, so I welcome another RTS. 360 gamers only have 2 to choose from right now. Endwar and Halo Wars can't come out soon enough. Thank God Ubisoft is taking the Clancy series in a new direction.
