Graw Demo Tonight (Thursday)

There's a new "rumor", well not quite, an official Ubisoft employee made a comment on the IGN forums that they delivered the demo to Microsoft who should be putting it up today. It's up to MS when exactly today the demo goes up, but either way itll be tonight. I CANT WAIT

Well the demos not on there, but there are trailers of the developers diary been added. Nothing really new though to videos available elsewhere.

If the employee said "demo" and M$ just posts the 2-4 week old Developer Diaries, I'm a-gonna be less than pleased.

BTW -- why on earth is the Marketplace not flooded with trailers and clips of upcoming games? Free video distribution to a 100% possible customer base (all Xbox Live 360 owners) -- why would you supply a video clip to, say, IGN, and not put it on the Marketplace as well?

What I don't like about this is the fact that MS might be scared to put up GRAW now since The outfit demo is coming tomorrow, they prolly wouldnt wanna flood their servers.

Are you guys 100 percent sure the outfit demo is coming put tommorow because I know GRAW will take away the outfits thunder if it had any. It already happened to Battlefield 2.

I believe that Outfit was confirmed for tomorrow, GRAW was never officially given a demo release date.

The thing about demos is that they can come out whenever they are ready. Games on the other hand get release dates based on season, or the other game releases, a wrong week to release a game can easily leave it in the shadow. That's why a lot of planning goes to the release dates for games. But like I said, demos on the other hand, they get released on whenever it's done basis.

I agree but demos are show off the game. Imagine if they released a PGR4 demo and a testdrive demo on the same day. People wouldnt know what to choose and the company with the better rep will get the majority of games. This is the same with GRAW and the outfit they both are war games. Like Oblivion and GRAW get release on the same day and be succesful because they both are monsters are proven not matter how bad their demo was. But a game like outfit doesn't have the hype that a game like Gears of War has and will easily be overshadowed by the big name games.

WHy is ubisoft taunting us. This is more worse than the Full auto release where they released it near midnight. But ubisoft went 1 step further by releasing diaries to get us hyped up. Hopefully the demo is polished unlike some of the other game demos

I havent been waiting this bad for a demo since the BF2 demo for PC, and even that came out a good 1-2 weeks before the game.

Anyways, what I learned from that... and also from my experience of developing games.... If you got enough hype, as GRAW does, the purpose for your demo is to convey the people on the fence about it or for people who don't care about it and might give it a shot and actually like it.

I doubt there's that many people who haven't heard about the game still.... and Ubi knows this, so from their view releasing the demo same day or after the ship date would serve their purpose. Releasing it before, would be doing us a favor.... but if its buggy, it could hurt them... but who knows whats goin on with the demo.
