G.R.A.W. Class/Ranking ?

Hi there fellow Xbox360 er's,
I have been playing ghost recon for the past month and on multi-player i see a ranking level to the right of peoples names ranging from 1 all the way up to

(ive seen a 7 ) how do i improve my ranking ? as a friend of mine has been playing the game for as long as i have and he is on 2, What determines moving up in rank ?

To answer your question,your rank is based on killing players that are a higher rank than you and not dying too often.

From what I understand from other posts from other forums your rank goes up from winning the game, I've also read that being the best player on the losing team does not increase rank. It will increase faster in example a bunch of ones beat a bunch of 10's or more and if the 10's win it'll go up but not as fast. FYI all of this is from what I have read, heard, and game experience.

if you play on ranked match for a while and stay on a winning team w/o dieing alot is how i got me a rank 10...... 2 months later
