The human eye has a comparative resolution of 675 megapixels (across a ~180 degree range of vision) so there's a long way to before the human eye can't tell the difference. |

1080i is not obsolete. Currently, no HDTV broadcasts are in a resolution above 1080i and most games are 720p but can display in 1080i. You are not missing out on anything but Blu-rays/HD DVDs and even then, they are still really good pictures. |
