360 shortage

I don't have any evidence, but the so called "360 shortage" is crap. Yeah, they'll sell out the first day, but there just telling us this so we buy it now!

So many People say this is another one of microsofts Viral marketing campaigns have people scrambling to get theres just for a another shippment to come in mid december with large amounts having all the kiddies moms buy the core sets.

There will be no shortages. I doubt even 50% of gamers know when it comes out because most are casual gamers. Don't worry your walmart will have a lot of 360s in general including Premium and Core

If this was a Playstation then I'd guarentee that it would sell out on day one. But even so, I still think it will be difficult to purchase a 360 on release if you haven't pre-ordered.

Like i said earlier before, there will be NO shortage when the x360 comes out, the only ppl what will be waiting in line nov. 22 will be hardcore gamers (me) casual gamers will eventually go the next day.
@Blank, i dont think the ps will sell out the first day, the first week, the first month! but i think there will be some people waiting in line (2-3)

Yeah PSP didn't selll out at Walmart. I found 5-10 units at walmart the next bad and bought one in April and I saw 4 left.

i agree 100% there will be enough for whoever wants one.. M$, Sony and Nintendo their all the same they just want you to think there will be a shortage so they can make billions

I am not sure what you mean by the first comment exactly. Are you saying that because sony do not make enough or are you reffering to Sonys popularity?

it sounds like he means when the ps2 came out it was hard to find... but i could be wrong

I don't belive you're right, first of all. I dont think you're basing this on were people live. Over here in california, every thing goes in sec. I remember when the ds and psp were here. They all sold out. But if you right, then i'll be happy because i was told that I was on 2nd shipment.

cali and new york might be a different story i dont know ive never been there but i just think that there will be enough for the people who wants one

Nah psp's and ds's were pretty easy to find here in socal, i think the psp's sold out the third day, but we had a shipmet in less than a week after that, they know that there is a higher market in states like cali and NY than say nebraska so they will be shipped accordinglly i think cali will get enough for those that really want them to get them on launch, the rest will be crazy looking for one toshow up around christmas

Anyway, there will be s shortage in high profile areas. If your area does sell a lot of units, ecpect more unts, but to sell out of them right away as well.

IF this system sells similar to Halo 2, which after seing the dang lines for this game at launch, it should. It will sell out day one, but not at stores like Shopko, Kmart, and small time stores. Just look around on day one for one.

When I say that it will sell similar to Halo 2, I mean it will sell similar in quantity. However, a single game is easier to produce then an entire console, and they availablity of the Xbox 360 unit won't be as great as Halo 2 was (not by a long shot).

They will be scarce, but not inpossible to come by the first day of release. After the first couple days, they will be hard to find tell next year.
